RecipientCelcius Abonwood, Omicron Supply Industries Buenos días Celcius Abonwood, It has been some time since your transports have completed the delivery of the required materials to start off the repairs on Freeport 9 and I am writing to update you on the current situation onboard. Repairs using a Hegemon to provide and collect materials We have employed a large number of crew members to work on the repairs of Wing D and could successfully reinstall the corridor leading to the warehouse B and some crew quarters. The repairs required internal work within the station by our highly skilled ingenieros and electricians as well as assistance from space by a repair ship and a mining vessel. The interior power supply lines and ventilation systems in the corridor to the warehouse was damaged at multiple instances, but could be reinstated to an at least until now functional level. Exterior damages on the structure were fixed by removing unusable parts with the help of a repurposed mining vessel, before the actual reconstruction using new materials placed by one of our repair ships. Crew members working on the corridor to Warehouse B
Once basic life support was reinstated in the corridor as well as the now accessible Warehouse B, the repair crew could further examine the status of the module. Although structurally intact, the warehouse was lacking appropriate storage shelfs, containers and lighting as well as needed minor repairs such as mending of the floors and stairs. On a positively surprising note, the crew has secured 5,000 units of basic alloy that was still stored inside the warehouse in poorly labeled containers. Surely there is some potential to organize things better here in the future... Repairs on the outside of the station
The material was already transferred into new containers and will remain stored in the warehouse for now. In addition, we have obtained more detailed blueprints of Wing D, which will certainly be of good use for finishing our repairs in this part of the station and of course for further maintenance. Repair crew examining the status of Warehouse B
Last, the repair crew gained access to the crew quarters located on Decks E and F, which were expected to be relatively intact based on our initial scans. As it turned out, our scans were luckily correct and all necessary life support systems could be re-established without any major problem. Naturally, the interior equipment and furniture of most quarters was at least slightly damaged or missing. Apparently, some of the former residents seized the opportunity of the conflict to steal some of it... Anyway, the discovered status is nothing, the crew onboard could not handle. At the moment, the dedicated repair crew is working on the recovery of those quarters, which will ease the living conditions on the station, since we currently live under quite tight conditions. A lot of our repair crew have been working long hours for weeks now and will surely appreciate having some free time now that most of the work for phase 1a has been completed. Some of them may also be lucky and move into the new quarters of Wing D as soon as the renovations have finished there. This is to be expected in the next few days. So much about the progress onboard the Freeport. I do believe that our efforts have been very promising so far and are progressing as expected. Thus, I expect to have sufficient staff available by the end of the week to continue with phase 1b. While I do appreciate the hard work the crew has put into this project and I am willing to allow them some time off, we do not run a holiday resort and the crew is primarily here to work, not to relax. Therefore, I suggest we continue with phase 1b as soon as possible, starting with the delivery of the required materials for clearance of wrecks around the station. Please inform me when you are able to start with your deliveries for the next phase. High regards,
Lucas Garmendia, Logistics Officer
