mixed mining just means cargo you'd have to drop after finishing mining ..
nu-mining is a bad joke, having to use that may weapons just to shoot some rocks ?
you had one job, make mining fun and enjoyable, you failed miserably at that
we want only one mining laser and one big rock, like all the other games out there

nu-mining is the most engaging and fun way to mine stuff that's ever been conceived in this game and it actually finds use for a hegemon

please speak for yourself. mindlessly spamming a mining array at flying small rocks (or a big stationary one) is the most mind-numbing experience one could ask for in this game. even worse than powertrading.
on topic of the OP: mixing mining fields is a terrible game design choice. as some have pointed it out, a mix of old mining and nu-mining could work, but if we have two fields of old mining overlapping each other - it's only going to make an already tedious process a lot more so.

Yes I fully agree with this while the guide up at the forum is excellent the community requires them to exist in game too.
I am going to repeat myself that the Nu mining didn't remove any old mining field they are still around the buoy.
