Quote:and later I get complaints about more BHG camping our bases.

I get complaints that I shouldn't camp the Fort Bush <-> Manhattan tradelane when I just fly across and certain people spot my pirate ship (zoner battleships included). So er...

tell them to stop complaining. Kthx. ;)

Well I'm only guessing here. Might be something completely different causing it. Truth is - we don't really know.

NO, you effing cant. You CAN do that...but IN RP the bases are armed to the teeth so you CAN do that if you WANT TO DIE in rp. Just because you can sit behind a rock hidden from the fire and safe via GAME mechanics, or because those are effing bloodhounds for fuhsake, it doesent mean you SHOULD do that, since its a frigging deathwish.

Ive had too many complaints and ive been 5k away from Buffalo with a BHG| on my merc and I had to drag him out by the ears, rping, that I do not wish to be here when the Rogue patrols return home.

Only because the game mechanics lets you, it doesn't mean you need to give up rational thought.

Welcome to Discovery RP Server

There needs to be an end to this bull even if it ends up with the devs placing gunboat missile turrets and battleship razors on each pirate base.

Not my concern. Particularly since I agree with them. Sitting that close to a house planet in-RP would be suicide... just like going anywhere near an unlawful base.

The stench of raw, unfiltered bias is unbearable here. If you want to have a nice, civil discussion you gotta do it from a neutral perspective, not just throwing 'NO U' around. Seriously people.

That is what I want to happen. It would be so much better if bases could defend themselves easily against Gunboats and Fighters, because then they would think twice before approaching us.

Then we can all sit by Alcatraz, crack open a bottle of wine and laugh at the Bounty Hunters 5k away angrily shaking their fists at us.

P.S. I think that last comment may be worthy of noting, lets hope.

Hey, Tesch, I am not saying I dont smack up rogues, who sit on the WP-Manhattan lane and pirate.

You know who you are...

In any of my chars I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN any faction / indy player letting go of a cruising ship.

This includes BHG | Order | Corsairs | LN | Outcasts and so. It is 3 times or so that the player accepted that I am "fleeing from my death". Since I don't like to sanction people and don't even have a single report to send, I accept death and even do RP at those times.

I don't think its a working system "cruising rule, sanctions" etc. on certain cases or we need a bigger prison system...

think again....

what happens if we arm each base "to the teeth"? - correct - bases are used to loophole the shieldrunning ( yes, you say that is just and logical - but it harms the gameplay, really )

arm each base to the teeth - keep in mind that is includes your enemies bases, too ( those that wish for it hopefully haven t forgotten that fact )

anyway - if you got actual screens / prove of BHG| violating the RP of a faction seriously - and if you care to have it discussed by the faction, you can PM me the shots and i ll present them to the other guildmasters and i am sure we can find a solution that suits everyone.

really people - making bases powerful enough to eradicate everyone in sight - silly idea. - where shall a good pvp happen then? - in the little spaces left in between the bases? you d be surprised how little space there is.... - you should be glad that basis mostly add "cosmetical" firepower - but sometimes i wish we could have a parallel server to put EVERYTHING in there that the players wish for - and force them to RP there.

The attackers are following a rogue to Alcatraz depot.

The fleer docks and logs.

The attackers stay and wait for him to come back.

A new player enters the game.

He undocks, wondering what RP and fun things will the game give him today.

New player dies to 6 campers.

What can he do? Dock and log? So he must sacrifice his fun only because there are guys sitting there? No.

Now I will make this clear, this buffoonery is the fault of BOTH sides.

The unlawfuls lead the followers to their bases.
The followers camp said base.

Damn right it's full of bias. Would you expect anything else? Bias =/= wrong. In this case, it's a perfectly legitimate reason for me to be biased against those people chasing pirates to their bases.

There's simply no excuse for it. I may come off as sounding harsh, but it's got to stop.

I never asked for that. I just want people to stop chasing us to our bases.

I'll ask my faction members to upload any screenshots they have of such things. Like I said, I only have one, and I'm not particularly fond of posting damning evidence that isn't current. Said BHG could well have reformed his ways by now, and it'd be wrong to punish him over an event that happened a month ago. I can send it to you as evidence, but I'm not looking for any action to be taken over it.
I would request that you ask your faction members to avoid chasing pirates to their bases.

I agree. It's not needed. Nor am I requesting it, this is not a thread requesting nerfs, rules or game changes. It's simply requesting a reform of current behaviour.

After all, a pirate has no where to run to except their base. Any determined player can pursue a foe for hours on end. Lawfuls can simply dock without problem, however unlawfuls cannot risk their bases' secret location, and must keep running until their pursuer gives up.
