The truth is, their forums could be more than kaput. It may not be hosted at all anymore.
Often, when the site is not hosted, the 403 message pops up, instead of something more helpful, like: This site has moved, yada yada yada...
Btw, I'm only using this reasoning since I do not see WHY the bkunit forums would go down along with the servers.

BK Forums are up again.
Probably the reason the BK forums went down at the same time as the game server was because they were BOTH hosted on the same machine.
If, as I understand it was a virus, then when they re-formatted the machine both would have gone down at the same time:)

if you're using the old "files.bkunit.com" link thingie, it dies. try just the bkunit.com, and at least ya get a construction page.
However, the thing now does not know me. Can't log on.
