You know I'm a powertrader and don't give a damn about anything else besides profit. If I'm playing for fun I'd be in my assault cruiser or fighter.
Oh and sub targeting... way too late. Plus, they are usually sitting at the gate. Therefore, I would like a system of knowing BEFORE jumping into the system. Heck, I wonder if I'll even care, after all I have one eye on the anime and one eye on the freelancer.

You have to give a damn because otherise you lose your cargo no matter how you scan em. Anyway, if you don't give a damn about scanning then what's this thread even for in the first place?
Back on topic. If their at the gate and you don't want to get pirated today then just jump out and make a damn good effort to get away in any direction but the direction you were going. Powertrading or not, just stay awake and you'l keep your ass intact.

You're just going to have to deal with it. If traders could escape pirates that easy, there would be no pirates. If there were no pirates, there would be no lawfuls to shoot them. It's a food chain, honey. Traders < Pirates < Cops. Remove a pirates ability to eat, they die off and subsequently you remove the Cops food source, and they die off too. Then we're left with a server of power traders? Yay?

Ok budd, sorry we all seem to be ganging up on you here. But yeah, this server is very different to other servers. When you log on you wanna be sure that your paying full attention to space like a pilot would. We've got one of the largest servers ever seen on Freelancer which means there's players hoppin around all over the place. Anything could happen from the moment you open up the forum screen or solitaire.
If whatever happens happens to be bad then you can only blame yourself.

Oh wait... Maybe I should make a poll to see how many people are annoyed at SilverLeaf's not searching?
Maybe he/she/they/it could actually do some beneficial soul/forum searching themselves and see that all the questions to they/his/her/it's answers have already been asked, possibly more than a dozen times.:)
