Well the idea of a 5th house would be great the work required would be COLOSSAL.
off the top of my head there would have to be new:

factions (police, military, a corporation or 2 and at least one major pirate faction)
systems (5-ish house systems to keep it in line with the other houses, a few independant systems to act as neutral ground between houses)
new weaps for the new factions
new ships for the factions (well the military and police and they would all have to be similar in colour and design)
missions for/against the new factions

And of course storyline, they would have to fit into the house politics of the 4 we already have.

In other words Igiss would need a lot of help if he wanted to go ahead with this. As much as I'd love it to become a reality I think it may have to remain a dream.

Hungarians were magyars. The name of the country came from the huns, because the huns used it as their main base for attacks on the Roman Empire.
Now, for the coalition, yes, the slavs were in its side in Starlancer, but...that was 800 years before Freelancer, and both the coalition and the alliance dont exist anymore at the time of Freelancer. Its such that now Bretonia and Kusari are at war against each other. Maybe Russia and China were fighting each other in the other side, but...to put a slavic house, this will means extend the map like was done in Frontierspace, and how the empty systems of Discovery will fit into this? This is a lot of work and I think Igiss alone cant do that. You will have to work on Freelancer Explorer to move the systems to the left, and the people who prefer a vanilla mod might become disapointed. Now, for names: Kiev for the slavic house, Kitai or Catai for the chinese and Umah for the islamic one. Its better than to use Russia and China, in the same way that Germany is called Rheinland and Japan is called Kusari. But, as I said, its too much work.

The Magyars are an ethnic group. The country of Hungary is closely associated with the Magyars, who make up the majority population. Slavs make up a minority of the population there, and the reverse is true in Slavic countries like Slovakia and Romania.

No one really knows where the Magyars originated, but somewhere on the Asian steppes are most likely. They may have been an offshoot of the Huns, or they may have been one of the many peoples displaced into Europe when the Huns came. Interestingly the Hungarian language is completely unrelated to any other language of Europe (except Finnish); in fact it is most closely related to Turkish.

Now.... I would imagine the Hungarians, like the other Eastern Europeans, would have formed part of the Coalition under their Russian overlords. Funny how the maker of Starlancer were stuck in the cold war.....

Well, perhaps it would be possible to avoid making slavs a die-hard part of the coalition?

The Hungarians were pretty much the first to uprise against the Soviet Union. So, perhaps a coalition separatist sleeper ship, launched in secrecy?

I like that idea. The Slavs are always a fiercely independent bunch. Some might have capitulated under the Soviets, but given half a chance and the statues to Lenin and Stalin came tumbling down. Especially the Poles.... ever read Edward Rutherford? The story of the Winged Hussars is one of the most inspiring and romantic I've ever read.

I see nothing stopping the Slavs putting together a little sleeper of their own, especially under the noses of the Coalition masters.

You should try Our Sienkiewicz and his Trilogy. The guy somewhat based his books upon Dumas's Musketeers, fit the story into the Polish XVII-century history background. The Ukrainian uprising from 1648, the Swedish "flood" and the Polish-Turkish war.

So... What nations in particular would break away?

Poles for sure, Czechs, Baltic states, Romanians, Hungarinas, Bulgarians... Grecians, Macedonians (Southern slavs in short), Urainians, Belarussians...

Should the Russians be in the business too? They are the mentioned "masters" actually.

I was to put the first system right now, but Freelancer Explorer is not working with Discovery beta 4. Someone knowns what problem it can be?
The idea was to put a jump hole in Sigma 13, more to the right of the map, far from the trade lanes. The hole go to the Kiev system, where there is the planet New Moscow and St Petersburg base. Freelancer Explorer only worked "on-the-fly" (that is, with the mod activated, directly in the game folder), but I was not able to save it (it put information in a new dll, instead of the discovery one). The system was located beyond the Taus, left to Tau 37 and above Orkney, some three points if I can remember well. The jump hole crosses Kusari space, but there is no way to reach Kiev from Kusari or from the Taus. The jump hole is right there in Sigma 13 to bring some tension with Rheinland. The system is very dark, reflecting the fact that there is no nebula beyond the Taus. That area on the map dont have systems, and I think the sleeperships came from there. I flow on it with a nephthys in a lan test, but was not seeing the asteroids in the field I put there, because as I said, the system was very dark.
Other system idea is the Sol system, this one is very big, and probably some planets will be put outside the navigational map, if this dont cause any CTD. Then there is the Lithuania system, linked to Kiev and with planet Varsovia, the Krakow base orbiting this planet, and the Vilnus base on the other side of the map. Also a guard system of the Kiev army, the Pomerania system, with the Danzig base, linked to Kiev.
Another idea is to put the hole in a new system, Sigma 21, and instead of a jump hole to Kiev there will be one to Sigma 21 in Sigma 13, thus adding one more system from Rheinland to Kiev. And near the Sol system we can add Alpha Centauri.
Ship designs I let it to legeonation and commodore. Some names: the kalashiknov light fighter, the alexander heavy fighter, the bathory mkII light fighter, and the silver hussar (to distinguish from the bretonian hussar) very heavy fighter.

It was just a generic example. Do you want to have a system for each eastern european country? Dont you think is too much? Better to use some generic names. Also Poland and Lithuania were one country in the 16th century.
For example, we can have: Kiev (capital of Ukraine) with New Moscow and St Petersburg (russian cities), and in the same way, Pomerania (not a country but a region) with Danzig (the german name of a polish city). I think its more appropriate to use this. If we put one system for each country it will be too much systems.
Now, I will not do any of these systems if Igiss refuses to create the factions. Only he can edit the dlls. Also legeonation and others should design the ships. Without the ships theres no way to have another house.
