I would rather not ruin the experiance for everyone by laying it all out ooc. Sufficed to say, some one has bought out the Zoner supplies for some reason. Go look, that's the point of the thing. Not so it can be shown to everyone ooc.

Maybe we didnt want to smack people in the face with it, Maybe we didnt want people abusing it. Maybe we wanted it to make it neat and something to be discovered, not flatly laid out for everyone on the forums to know. Its a corsair event, not a zoner one... but I forgot, this is disco, people dont want to figure things out, they want every little thing that might effect even one of thier trade routes explained ooc, and if they are not told they bitch and moan untill it is explained oorp to the whole community... Maybe, just maybe we wanted it to be a cool in rp event. Guess telling people exactly where to find the news ooc isnt enough.

Listen: Little heads-up would be nice that's all. PMs, whatever. That way this thread would not be made. There was no other way for us to find out. And we found out when we wanted to bring some to Crete. So, don't blame us, when you have yourself to blame.

It's not just about corsair events. And it has nothing to do with a trade route. My pal Al noori could not supply his own gunboat with food for his crew. You expect to just believe our food grew arms and legs, found a shuttle and flew off into Sirius on it's own? We're hungry too, we need our food. My first reaction indeed was to check the news. I really don't mind this way of doing it. I'd just like someone to consider notifying or 'putting' news in all the bases affected next time.
I'm not asking someone to lay this out OOC, I just wanted to know if this was an event.

Well, when someone sees a message telling them (in computerish terms) that they cannot buy a commodity, I doubt the thing that goes through their head first is, "Oh, it must be for some event-thing." It's still a new concept, after all. Most people are just going to be confused, thinking it's a problem with the coding of the mod or some such thing.
Still, it would be nice to have the news item available on the bases affected. Not everyone is going to infer that something must be happening on Crete because they can't buy food.
