Here's a six pack of wisdom - Blodo - 11-11-2009 Fully endorsed. If only those people actually read this thread... Here's a six pack of wisdom - Bazza - 11-11-2009 +1 for This guy know his ****:) I, for one, love the mining system as it is, warts and all. There's isn't much more satisfying than blasting a lone miner in a transport in my transport because he was too dumb to hire an escort, and making off with an hours' worth of work in 30 seconds flat. Seriously. An escort, of absolutely any kind (even another transport), will scare me off. All I have are type-2's. And so do a lot of other transport pie rats. I don't stand a chance against anything that can move faster than my turrets. But the miners haven't figured that out yet. :/ Here's a six pack of wisdom - Exsiled_one - 11-11-2009 @b. I sure hope they do man, otherwise its totally -1 :/ If they had the time to channel their hissy fits in forum they should have time to read this as well. I think they just don't have a thing to say. Here's a six pack of wisdom - jgooch1993 - 11-12-2009 Bravo chap. I completely agree, The DSS is looking for an escort company right now that we can sink our fingers into. Escorts are a very good asset to have, cause when you don't need them, that's great. but when you do need them and you don't have them, then you get a nice trip to the nearest planet for sever wounds. and a pretty large chunk of credits lost to a pesky pirate, or nut case. Here's a six pack of wisdom - masternerdguy - 11-12-2009 Parasites unite with people. In their small intestines the hope of a new generation is found. Here's a six pack of wisdom - n00bl3t - 11-12-2009 Lovely. Time to go organise organised whining. (Perhaps I should speak to some corporations players for hints?) Here's a six pack of wisdom - Exsiled_one - 11-12-2009 How about adding something useful to the discussion for once? Here's a six pack of wisdom - Bear - 11-12-2009 ' Wrote:I think they just don't have a thing to say. I've got something to say, because I haven't ever hired an escort. Why? it's my money. Simple as that. I'm not going to get caught by pirates because I know where most of them hang out, I see where they are on the chat list, I can see them coming and then move to avoid them. I fly over, under and around to avoid them. Ergo, I need not waist money on an escort that could potentially be useless anyway. Don't give me that metagaming/powergaming whatever. I'm not listening to it. I don't buy battleships, I don't buy cap ships at all for a fact (or any other ships). I'm not out to gain (except in the case of credits). That's all I want, credits. Hell, what I've earnt already has gone to charity so it's no good having at me for that either. Don't get me wrong, I'll RP anytime, it's just after working my butt off for an hour I don't want to lose that in the blink of an eye. I believe in success after success ie: I'll keep succeeding after my last success at exactly the same point from which I left off. Not two million credits shorter. Edit: I didn't mean to sound rude or mean in this post, I am just merely stating my views and protecting myself from a flame that I know will coming from me speaking up in this manner. Here's a six pack of wisdom - jshkornmiller - 11-12-2009 i love this rant. stick it to the liberal whiners! Here's a six pack of wisdom - Dashiell - 11-12-2009 Although some pirates are greedy to the point of sheer annoyance, I agree with Ivan's rant. give escorts something to do. they may not be ablde to save your ship from being blown up, but they sure as hell can make sure the pirate doesn't get away with his booty in 1 piece as well. give Freelancers/Mercs something to do people:) |
