ID for vendetta missions - ChrisWade - 11-23-2009 Well.. upsetting the people I'm going after is last thing I'm worried about. Some of them have notoriously broken the rules and destroyed hours of gameplay for many people. But I get your point. How about the Avenger ship? Is that a good ship? If I'll manage to finish a single sale I'll afford to buy any fighter class ship. ID for vendetta missions - Akura - 11-23-2009 Rock Paper Scissors. There are no best ships mate. Avenger is good, make sure you are fitting the Tech Usage Chart though. ID for vendetta missions - ChrisWade - 11-23-2009 ' Wrote:Rock Paper Scissors.yeah.. ships are always good at some stuff and bad at other. The Tech Usage Chart.. what's that? ID for vendetta missions - Alex. - 11-23-2009 For taking out small ships, yeah, a Gunboat tends to be better... However, you might want to post a story on how he got it, because, as Akura said, FLs generally use Rocs/Eagles, so people are gonna ask questions... ID for vendetta missions - Thurgret - 11-23-2009 The tech usage chart is partly useful, partly common sense, partly to be overriden by common sense (that is to say that it is often -too- loose). A Vigilante simply would not have access to the likes of an Avenger. And, frankly, it looks like you're interested in playing a vigilante for all the wrong reasons. You should not be out to get back at people OOCly. If you're doing that, you're doing it wrong. If one of your characters is pirated repeatedly, it may be in-character for said character to put out a bounty on the pirates (mind that it's your own fault if you keep running into the same pirates). But if you're getting irked yourself, rather than it being your character, I'd advise going outside and getting some fresh air. ETA: and attacking fighters with gunboats is a wonderful way to make people call all their friends and gank your gunboat repeatedly. ID for vendetta missions - ChrisWade - 11-23-2009 I want to play Robin Hood that's it. ID for vendetta missions - Thurgret - 11-23-2009 So... What you actually want is to... play a Red Hessian with morals, perhaps? Or... a pirate ID'd Bretonian mugging transports coming in from Liberty and Rheinland to donate funds to people on Leeds? ETA: heck, a Blood Dragon, even. ID for vendetta missions - ChrisWade - 11-23-2009 ' Wrote:So... That kind of sound like it...It is very much about morals. I want to be a pain in the arse for people cutting down smalltimers, not letting them do their job. I want to hunt down cheap lazy pilots that feed off other peoples hours of work. Also I'd like to "escort" people from the system when they should leave. Kind of forcing my morals on the lesser intellectual thugs. ID for vendetta missions - Thurgret - 11-23-2009 Um. Re-read a Robin Hood story or two before saying 'I want to play Robin Hood that's it', because you appear to be a little confused as to what he did (in all the various Robin Hood stories I've read, at least, he's an outlawed nobleman). And, really, if you're OOCly annoyed at people, either 1) trade less or 2) get some fresh air. There's no need to make a vigilante unless you really want to RP one because you'd enjoy it (as opposed to being able to pew pew for OOC motives). The question about ships/weapons/IDs has been answered, anyway. Eagle/Raven's Talon/Wasupu/Kingfisher/Marauder/a few others/Roc with, ideally, civilian weaponry. ID for vendetta missions - ChrisWade - 11-23-2009 Thank you! I don't know what OOC means, but I'm pretty shure I will enjoy hunting those people down and making the astroid fields unsafe for pirates. I could easily just cruise around chasing them out of there. That would be so much fun! Just being there for the miners and traders, since the police isn't doing it's job very good. EDIT... Oh.. 1+1.. OOC means out of character, of course. No, my character is pissed off! |
