Kusari relationships - BaconSoda - 11-27-2009 Here I would like to address a very critical question to farmer RP. "Why u atak me, I no have food?" Or, in real, non-sarcastic English, "Why does a Farmer attack me? I don't have food." The FA is not just about food. To start, the FA is a legitimate Political party. Yes, I know. We call it the Farmer's Party. We lobby Samura and the government for farming subsidies. We also have a governor running for office on Kyushu. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj139/K.../Rumors/FA2.jpg http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj139/K...i/Rumors/FA.jpg Crazy, huh? However, the FA is also a terrorist organization payed by Samura to destroy Kishiro and Foreign Shipping. It's missions are even against Gateway, BowEx, Kishiro, Universal, and Republican. It also has missions against the Blood Dragons and Golden Chrysanthemums, but, those are negligible. From our viewpoint, it is paramount that we make Kusari as undesirable as possible to foreigners. Kusari should return to the way it was so we can return to our previous lives. Food was a catalyst for this movement. The farmers of Kyushu had wonderful lives that they lived for generations. Each farmer also funded other movements. With their capital, farmers attracted automotive salesmen, doctors, dentists, etc. Without their capital, those businesses also collapsed. Who can run a dentist's office that has no customers that can pay for it? It's the same deal as Detroit and the automotive business. We hate Toyota and Honda and wish they'd go so we can have our unions back. That's just how it goes. So, after the farming industry collapsed, everything else did, and so they founded a political party devoted to returning themselves to their former glory. Samura noticed them and pushed them a bit further. That's why we pirate for ore, alien organisms, engine components, and basically everything. In some cases, the KNF/KSP may support us. Some may think we're helping Kusari in ways they wish they could. It isn't quite the same as they remember it (Samura is declining; that's never happened before). Others may think we're nothing but terrorists and attack us. That's just how it goes. There is no official stance on Farmers. I hope that rather explains something I get asked A LOT.... Kusari relationships - DarthCloakedGuy - 11-27-2009 Problem. Kusari is completely dependent on foreign ore, so they need foreign traders to bring it to them. If FA pirates them so much that they go away, then Kusari is deprived of raw materials, its war machine dies, and Bretonia turns around and conquers them. Or maybe they're trying to conquer Bretonia for the local ores? One thing's for sure, I'm not eager to load up with ore to go someplace where the local dynamic is: AFA guy: "I just pirated this gaijin ore freighter and tried to murder his escort." KNF guy: "Awesome! High five!" Escort/trader/miner: "Mayday, AFA guy just destroyed my convoy and tried to kill me." KNF guy: "STFU, gaijin, we like him doing that. Stop complaining about the pirates or we'll kill you." I've been told the foreigners should stop and offload everything at the border stations and Deshima, so that Samura or Kishiro move everything inside Kusari. Problem with that? Border stations and Deshima (not entirely sure about Deshima) don't buy ores. Kusari relationships - BaconSoda - 11-27-2009 ' Wrote:Problem. Like in all things, Disco majorly over exaggerates the extent to which we take crap from people. The FA literally can't take everything or dissuade everyone from coming to Kusari. It's just impossible. We're too small. ' Wrote:Or maybe they're trying to conquer Bretonia for the local ores? The Tau War probably has a lot to do with that, yeah. ' Wrote:One thing's for sure, I'm not eager to load up with ore to go someplace where the local dynamic is: Depending on the KNF/KSP, yes. As I said above, some KNF/KSP may applaud us as heroes, others may treat us as criminals. It depends on who you meet. ' Wrote:I've been told the foreigners should stop and offload everything at the border stations and Deshima, so that Samura or Kishiro move everything inside Kusari. Problem with that? Border stations and Deshima (not entirely sure about Deshima) don't buy ores. Sadly, it's just an RP thing since Disco was invented. Osaka, Tsushima, and Deshima were all drop points for foreigners as well as Narita. Now everything except Narita is just pretty. Kusari relationships - Zelot - 11-27-2009 ' Wrote:Problem. You could easily drop it at Pueblo, the rp being that Kishiro or Samura are moving it from there to Kusari. Problem taken care of. Kusari relationships - Elsdragon - 11-27-2009 Silver only drops on Narita. It should drop on pueblo, but dosent. Kusari relationships - Zelot - 11-27-2009 ' Wrote:Silver only drops on Narita. It should drop on pueblo, but dosent. My mistake, sorry. Kusari relationships - Drake - 11-27-2009 Kusari isn't worth the visit, in my experience, for any purpose. I've asked that a sell point be made at Canterbury station (The Planetform One) to refine it for terraforming, but, so far, to little avail...
