Just ask.

Aslong as you don't bother the Zoners, shoot at them, or pirate them with aconferance, they are usually okay with it.

' Wrote:Yeah, just because the tech chart says it good doesn't really mean you can have things. The Bottlenose and Orca both are only sold in one spot - our Guard system. This is by design. Since it happens that the Guard system is owned - if you do not have a BHG ID and you enter that system - you're trespassing and are a dead man.

OK. These means that I am not permitted to use that ship. Bottlenose out. :(

Mercenary question - Camtheman Of Freelancer4Ever - 12-10-2009

I was actually thinking of making a Bottlenose Freelancer also. It seems like it would be a fun concept. I just cant find any damned RP reason to use a Bottlenose... Im not much for forum RP, I like in-game...

Sucks, Really.

If its not sold in the Guard system, What about a Manta or Bomber? Or perhaps even an IMG GB? Hmm...

BHG tech is not recommended since as far as I know, the BHG hunt down non-bhg using their tech, even if its a manta.
But its permitted by the rules.

For the IMG GB, ask first. If not it will prolly be tagged as stolen by the IMG and they will hunt you down.

Only downside of the Conference is it reads in the tool tip something to the effect of restricting sales. Still, I fly one and I have yet to run into any problems. In fact I have flown by a few zoner faction cap ships and they didn't mind.

You can also fly the Kusari Explorer. "...as such the Explorer has found a valuable after-market for Freelancers and wealthy Kusarians alike seeking to find the next hidden jump hole, or luxuriate in its firepower, with a measure of comfort and security."

There really should be a civilian gunboat. I hate flying ships that belong to a faction as a freelancer. I just find it hard to believe that any group would sell their military technology to a civilian.

Mercenary question - Camtheman Of Freelancer4Ever - 12-10-2009

I dont know about "Civillian Gunboat" That doesnt make sense. It should have the same metal type as the Eagle, you know, same general look. But it shouldnt be called Civ Gunboat, should have some other name that makes it sound less illogical.

Civillian Very Heavy Freighter sounds nice...

Yes - yes, we do... :P

It's actually like on some of the commodities. There's actually nothing against the rules about using these at all, it's just the in-game consequences due to the RP we have established may cause sudden decompressions.

A civillian gunboat makes as much sense as a civillian bomber. I don't care what you call it as long as it is comparable to other gunboats and can be used by independent freelancers, mercs, and pirates to serve as a nonfaction way to fly.

@ OPG Ivan: With picking up a side do you mean player faction? If yes, I explain it. In primary I play on another server where I am in a DevTeam and in a clan. In the clan rules are stated the any kind of multiclaning is prohibited. These is meaned for all the FL servers. These multclaning means that I cannot be in another clan, faction, assosiation etc., so I play here and on other mods as an indie player. So picking a side for me applies only for npc factions - npc tag...

We do not have clans here. PLayer faction =/= clan. And I bet we don't want other servers restrict your game here.

Well you might have a bottlenose on lawful Freelancer id prevoding bio story for that and keeping on the lawful side.

Zoner gunboat, well I doubt they want to see zoner gunboats attacking lawfuls.

As mercinary ID Personaly I would g owith IMG gunboat.

But agian, do it really needs to be a gunboat?

No, not anymore.

The Zoner Conference Gunboat had been withdrawn from the open market, now it is Zoner use only.
