IFfs - Foror - 01-07-2010 no, if that was the case i'd be trying to aim lawfull. my goal is to be friendly with as many of the unlawfull factions as i'm wanting, because honestly, i'm a person that likes avoiding confrontations. for example, atm, i'm friendly with the hessians and neutral with the corsair. i can go out to their area of the omega's, and i dont have to worry about the npc's. of course i'll have to deal with players but i'm ok with that, up to the part that some one wants to kill me over my iff. i would think that my independent id would clearly state that i'm independent. but people call you by your iff as opposed to name. thats where i have iff problems- people dont base their rp on just your id, and most people depending on what your iff says, are going to RP as being 100% intolerant, ready to go guns-a-blazing (depending on the iff and factions involved. the dragons hate nearly everyone) i'm basically playing an independent character that has multiple connections to various unlawful organizations, and i dont see anything wrong with that. only problem is that everyone acts like the Hatfields and the McCoys. just trying to find a solution, because diplomacy doesn't work. IFfs - Linkus - 01-07-2010 Independent people flying with a certain NPC faction tag will be treated as being friendly to that group and usually then treated as such. Basically, if I went and helped the Hessians a lot, I doubt the Corsairs would like me for it. So why would they not shoot at me? IFfs - Foror - 01-07-2010 ' Wrote:Independent people flying with a certain NPC faction tag will be treated as being friendly to that group and usually then treated as such.because if yer greent o them the faction must like you anyway through this slight oversight?:( if yer green, why wouldnt the player assume theres a reason for it. rather, why shouldnt they? IFfs - Bolverk - 01-07-2010 Quote:because atm, i've got a large number of factions in the high greens, and i really dont wanna end up spending like 3 mil on fixing my reps-Why do you need high greens? What's wrong with usual greens? IFfs - Zapp - 01-07-2010 Freelancer tag + Pirate ID = problem solved. Except with Xenos. Don't even try being friendly to them. Pirates are bad cuz they exploit the poor and do it only for profit.:P IFfs - msgerbs - 01-07-2010 ' Wrote:The pirate ID has a nasty repninja in any case. So presumably you just have a small handful of unlawful factions as green? It does? What kind of repninja? IFfs - Zapp - 01-07-2010 It sets most lawful corporations, police, and military factions hostile. IFfs - msgerbs - 01-09-2010 ' Wrote:It sets most lawful corporations, police, and military factions hostile. As it should. And as any real pirate would give himself anyway. |
