Dusty, I dunno when the last time you flew a cruiser was...
But they can't possibly be battleship busters. Battlecruisers even less so...
They're good against gunboats and each other, basically.
And they can provide some long-range fire-support against the heavier vessels like battleships.

I was, admittedly, talking about one-on-one.
But I suppose a few could take one out nicely enough - although I think bombers might be more effective, if we're going by player headcount.
