A trader who goes by the name FreightLiner knows the whereabouts of the Liberty Cruiser Commander who has information regarding this virus. I need you to seek a way to keep our elders and young ones comfortable until a cure is found. I have requested the Sirius Times post a news brief regarding this plight on our society and to be on the lookout of this one called FreightLiner. I have also pleaded for others within Sirius to bring food and medicine to Ames Research Station for us to retrieve. We can bring these supplies back to Cassini for distribution within our nation.
This day will not be forgotten. And we will remember those who are suffering.

The old, young, and women will be made comfortable. I am even now gathering herbs to lessen their fevers and calm their stomachs. I have consulted with some of the oriental healers at the Farmers' base in Kyushu. They have also suggested remedies which we will try.
But the sickness is virulent, and more are falling from its effects each day, O Chief. I beg you to hurry and find this trader. We must have the knowlege of his hostage if we are to save our people. Even if we must ask our enemies to assist us in tracking him down, it must be done, or all is lost.

Some of my very good friends were once associated with a faction which has ancient roots, and which is misunderstood and mistrusted by many in our Sector. But, that is personal. The Emperor has made his decision soley on its merit alone.

People of Sirius:
While the Emperor of Kusari and the Kusari Naval forces do not condone the methods used by the Nayehiya Tribes to meet the needs of their people on a regular basis; we do sympathize with their current distressful plight. It could have been any of our Houses which were contaminated by this dreadful virus. We will not speculate as to whether this was an unfortunate accident, or a concealed attack against the Nayehiyans. It does not matter. They are and need, and have asked for assistance.
By order of the Emperor of Kusari, God of the Rising Sun, all KNT vessels are directed to carry at least 10% of their cargo capacity at all times in basic foods, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals for humanitarian purposes until this crisis is over. These relief supplies shall be given freely to any Nayehiya ship requesting it. If this virus spreads, other clans may also be designated as recipients. Give it willingly and without cost to the Nayehiya people.
WWIC Bo Sun Gen is also directed to make an immediate full shipment of relief supplies to Ames Station, as requested by the Nayehiya. The Yuuzai Maru is ordered to acquire and set sail with the load within the next two hours.
We hope that this decision does not disturb our friends and neigbors throughout the Sector. It is a temporary measure done only out of compassion for a suffering people. We would do the same for anyone in similar straits.
To the Principal Chief of the Nayehiya. We are aware that your people have a rich tradition of "gifting" other tribes and races as a matter of honor. 1. Please take a look at our faction status page. The following are now off limits. Cease all demands for taxes from these factions/individuals. Reasons provided:
[LC] faction - payed the Nayehiya 200 million credits for all Nayehiya to leave [LC] tagged vessels alone. This is good for our peoples since it places us closer to having enough funds to purchase our own system.
RepEx faction - this faction has responded with humanitarian aide during our time of need.
Kusari tagged transports - these traders responded with humanitarian aide during our time of need.
2. We presently have 390 million credits on board my Outcast Destroyer. I have conducted some diplomacy with a certain mercenary faction that will bring us an additional 120 million credits in one week's time. This will bring our total to 510 million credits. Under the present Sirius rates, the price of a system is 600 million credits. However, soon this price will rise to 1 billion credits. I do not know whether we will be able to make this purchase before the new price goes into effect. At any rate, we are much closer to that goal with the agreement I've secured with the [LC] traders. Also, if everything works diplomatically with this mercenary faction, we may be able to move around Sirius with less resistance.
3. To the heart of #2 above. Which system shall we purchase. My recommendation is we purchase Cassini. Cassini is a Rogue Guard system and lies between Kepler and Galileo. This is a strategic location between Liberty and Kusari space. As Kusari is more tolerant of us than is Rheinland, we may find this a more hospitable for our tribe. Humboldt will continue to be a strategic location between Liberty and Rheinland and Cortez a strategic location between Liberty and Bretonia. Each system provides a critical link between the houses and provide us with valuable information from our scouts and satellites tracking movement between the houses.
4. Ganagati has made some progress with maintaining a comfort level for our citizens stricken by the illness. I have posted a reward of 10 million credits for information leading to a cure. I fear the trader FreightLiner is either in hiding or dead (silenced to prevent a cure from being found). I hope Liberty will find mercy in their hearts to come forward with their officer we seek. If this officer can provide us with the information we need, we will hopefully be able to cure our peoples.

I concur that Cassini would be a welcome home for our tribes. We must wait for new revelations from the Spirits as to the winds of commerce here in Sirius; but the Cassini system offers access to many pathways where we may seek sustenance for our people.
I am heartened by the assistance some of the newer "tribes" in Sirius have offerred the Nayehiya. We should also list the man Waverly and his Goddess-worshippers. Their contributions helped as well. The herb which they grow to the south was also provided in their shipment; and provides comfort and insight.
However, all of our remedies to date merely ease the symptoms of sufferring. We must all search more dilligently for the Officer who may tell us the true source and remedy for this disease.
I have not heard again nor been able to seek that "quiet whisper" of support I spoke of a few days ago. When I have done so, I will whisper back your thanks, so that the winds of Sirius will not carry it to unwanted ears. Its substance is too mercurial for most to understand.

We are nearing the funding needed to purchase our home system. As we grow, we will need to improve the defense of our peoples. Since we are unable to build large militaries as the houses do, I encourage each of you to hire mercenaries as needed to aide in our defense. The Corsairs grow as well and have become most dangerous. They too hire mercenaries as Atalawohisdi discovered in Tau 31 just yesterday. There are at least four tribes of Corsair in the Omicrons and Omegas.
We must do what we can to survive. And we must continue to concentrate on finding a cure for this plague. Forming good relations with mercenaries will aide in our defense as we conduct our search.
