FL Studio is easier to use than a lot of other programs around. I haven't been using it very long, but it can put out an amazing result.

Fl Studio has an easier to handle UI than Reason, there are other alternatives too. Think of it this way, Deadmau5 has/does use FL Studio.

That should give some hint to what can be achieved.

Basshunter started on FL and made his music with it for quite some time...

FL is great using it last 2 years, and must say u can make quite remarkable remakes of old songs or new ones, that sound preety good, and make your own songs, takes time, but i did make some nice sounds with it....

i agree it CAN be good .. when used with something else. no synth software gives you all of it. a friend of mine uses reason + cubase and has qite a few releases on very prestigious labels in the dnb scene. but he's good. if you know how, you can do fairly good stuff with a few samples and sony sound forge alone, really. its about the idea and work. eventually you get what you want if you work on it long enough.

FL alone is not that revolutionary, but i hear there are lots of good plugins to use around.

Aye, the reFX plugins are great. I'd love to create my own synths, but it's all very technical:DThings like Vanguard and Nexus (Of which I'm yet to use, but hear is great) give you a bunch of preset synths, which when used correctly, you wouldn't know it's out of a box, so to say.

Deadma5 and Basshunter are great examples! While alot of Basshunters stuff sounds the same, when I heard he'd used it, it really kicked me along:D

It's not the tools that make the man:)

I used to muck around with this sort of stuff back in the day, nothing very good though. Used a bunch of freeware and public-domain samples - if freesound.org is still around that's a great site for samples.

The closest I got to making a song was this thing
