I am currently undergoing a similar problem after reinstalling Freelancer. Will try to do a complete reinstall.

I was about to do that, but I kept reading that Cannon has made it so that the game would directly connect to that IP already. So if it's still blank to me, then direct IP isn't working either.
Argh, it must have something to do with my wireless settings. Before cleaning up, it was able to obtain IP addresses and DNS servers just fine; but afterwards, it suddenly lost that capability and I had to obtain them manually.
My laptop's a piece of junk ;_;
Edit: It really was my wireless settings. Turns out my Winsock is an utter mess (all those firewall softwares, most likely); so after fixing it up, I can obtain IP addresses again automatically. And FL can connect online again!:yahoo:

It's a little technical. Basically if you can get online when your TCP/IP can obtain IP addresses automatically, the server list should show up.
