New System Rules - Virus - 12-01-2005
Man.... This is gonna be really bad for new clans/factions.... And the only way for them not to bankrupt almost insantly is if the first four systems they get are free, period, and all the rest are 15 million.
OR if the first four cost 15 million total(Five million for each system, not including home system) and the rest 15 million each...
And to get new systems... 200 million is a little much... I'm thinking more of the 150-170 million range. As a matter of fact, 160 million sounds perfect to me.

Maitainance cost = zero for home system, zero for two controlled systems, 15 million per week per system for 3rd controlled system and further on.

The maintenance cost remains low, so te faction dont need to trade like hell to pay the maintenance...
The system request fee is not cheap. So the factions cant claim a system per day...

Thats not for claiming. Thats for maintanence. I've got 8 systems to pay for. And I don't wanna be broke when the people from the WA clan come to be AW's reserve platoon. Yes thats right. Now you gotta deal with more of us :D.

I think That Igiss means we're gonna be starting from scratch or something, Dab, not wholesale ownership of an entire group (i.e. You owning all of the Omicrons, LS/SDF owning all of LIberty, Bretonnia... etc) of systems.
I might be wrong here.
Anyway, i think your figures are slightly off.
$15 mil a week per system. the first three are free
So.. 5 systems at $15 mil a week = $75 million total

We could do something similar to this: 0 for home system per week, 5 mil for 1st system. Additional systems are at .5/1 mil increments (5.5 mil for third, 6 for fourth). That would make it so a large "empire" would have to pay more on average than a small clan.
