Fantastic. let's hope this gets in the game soon. I would love to have them around Kusari.

Nice one man

Dude42, stop trying to promote your own models, people will look and post about them if they want to.
This thread is for this model and this modellers, try respect that and pretend to make a comment on the model at least.

I like the model.
Replace the current model with it and test the animation.

Kusari Outpost (texturing in process...) - dude42 - 03-17-2010

Well, Linkus, I saw another thread saying "hey where are all the new bases". And this one was right next to it.
So, in both, I said "hay look, a few new UNUSED bases" just to let some know. It has been awhile.

Also. I love the kusari (smallbase) that Marshal made. Very good model just needs some skins.

Perhaps you will later do models for the other houses? We need more factionalized stations.

Kusari Outpost (texturing in process...) - LancerZero - 03-18-2010

Agreed. Not only that this is one nice station, but that all houses could really use some factionized stations. Including pirate factions that have some of those ordinary lawful-style stations.

No real suggestions as far as the station goes. I wanna see it skinned and in-game! This is one of the things the mod still needs. Along with factionized docking rings and trade lanes and jump gates, etc. But stations first.

I really like it. It is well made and extremely functional for attaching objects to it.

Finish and submit! Thou shall obey!

Thanks for the feedback so far guys. Much appreciated :)

Ive done some minor mesh edits and touch ups. Not too much point adding a picture right now.

Anyway, the main idea of this post is texturing.

I have like...no experiance at it. Ive got the model in milkshape but im no pro at making textures look good.

If you have some knowledge in milkshape and want to help with the station pass a PM my way. It would help alot because (like I think I already said: im terrible at texturing :/)

Kusari Outpost (texturing in process...) - Sturmwind - 03-18-2010

I like it, but you might want to reduce the distance between the upper and lower compartments.

*Thumbs up.*

' Wrote:That looks very Kusarian, I have to admit, but aren't most stations built out of small pieces rather than being in one big lump?
I think the border stations are one module. Smallest type of station I think. Failing that, it'd be two modules, consisting of the docking bay and the control tower. Might want to save a separate file with both parts separate, so they can be used later for Kusari stations.

I do like the model though. I'd be a little wary of the fins though... Given that currently all fins branch off the back of rectangular shaped objects, they do actually have a specific direction they're supposed to be pointing in. To me, they look a little odd (and pointless, but that's Kusari for you) when attached to a circular object.
