' Wrote:The Daumann already have a long range contract with BHG| and other mercenary subcontractors (individuals and group) and this company have own good security wing too. And we accept those subcontractors who make the dirty works too.... not just escort, security and hunting pirates.

I was only using Daumann as an example. I don't know who We'll work with.

Just wanted to say your idea can work well, at least it work at the Daumann. We make contracts with those mercenaries who wanna work for longer time for us, we give them a license, so they can operating freely as daumann employee (and because its "open" secret everyone can look after this on forum a mercenary really work for us or not - of course its secret inRP). True we use them mostly for securing our mining fields. Same the BHG, but they give us escorts for our convoys.

Ah cool.

On another note, Does anyone know of any Fighters/Bombers/Gunboats or maybe even Cruisers that the faction could use? It would be nice to have a few larger ships in the arsenal if I need them. I was thinking Zoner ships, But seems They've cut off all the exports of their ships now. I only really want a few gunboats and maybe a cruiser class ship, as well as the usual Bombers and fighters.

If it wil be BHG IDed then BHG line, if mercenary IDed then CTE line and beg for official factions for permission using their tech. If you wanna use cruiser, mercenary ID wont be good, just BHG!

I might send out some Requests to some factions requesting use of a couple of gunboats and a cruiser or two.

I think I will have to go with the BHG ID. Perhaps Freelancer or BHG IFF.

I might start writing up a history and other details.

More lawful targets for the CoC. Hell, we already hate the BHG, why not one more? lol

Give it a try, go for it. Merc factions are HARD To run though, so be ready for tough times.

Well, there is certainly room for another group out there if you can find people willing to join the group. The problem you have is that the MM really have the whole merc thing tied up. And we of the BHG| - well, competition is good, but at the same time when you look at our faction goals...

Quote:Faction Goals:
1. Establish Sirius-wide monopoly in provision of security training, route clearance, transport of hazardous or important materials and personnel, escort services for trade vessels, explosive ordnance disposal, auxiliary police services and manned guarding services in hostile areas to safeguard personnel, installations, and equipment.
2. Finance and conduct exploration of Nomad space in search of alien artefacts and technologies.
3. Eliminate persons and organisations affiliated with the covert terrorist organisation known as the Order.

George tends to take that old monopoly thing pretty seriously at times. So you're free to start up another company - just don't come looking at us when your ships ... blow up...:P

Strictly lawful civilian services (trader escort, lane patrol, pirate hunting, etc.) are pretty well tied up, between the Mandalorians, BHG, and all the individual freelancers and mercs. You can still muscle your way in, but you'll have better luck if you can find at least one corporation, military, or guild to get a contract with.

Past experience points to the GMG and CR as being very reasonable employers, and you may find a market with RM, KNF, or the Corsairs; I'm sure all of them would love to get some payback against the Mandalorians and the people who hire them without actually needing to put themselves in harm's way.

As Wolfspirit pointed out, there is also the dirty work some corporations will want done, particularly in Rheinland, and that's something most mercenaries don't seem to do right now. A pretty good untapped market if you can get the people together.

I'd suggest Mercenary ID. You don't need cruisers - and if you get a contract that involves blowing up transports, they're useless for that. Quite a few contracts cover that - the GMG bounty board, for example.
