Developing the Sirius 250 A.S. Mod - Malaclypse 666 - 03-31-2010 Yngen came up with a very good name for your "Xeno predecessors": "Sons of Liberty" Pair o digms, and break a leg. Developing the Sirius 250 A.S. Mod - stardust47 - 03-31-2010 I can help with writing and testing. Developing the Sirius 250 A.S. Mod - Tenacity - 04-01-2010 Decided to use the sons of liberty faction for the xeno predecessors, thanks for that. If anyone wants to catch a glimpse at what this mod will hold, development notes and such are here: http://docs.google.com/View?id=dc3m4b9n_3c97g9fck Developing the Sirius 250 A.S. Mod - Korolia - 04-01-2010 Might like to help, who knows, this sounds interesting. I have some minor modeling skills. Developing the Sirius 250 A.S. Mod - Sarawr!? - 04-01-2010 I'd like to offer my help with working on/gathering information on Faction/House lore/history, I noticed Sprolf is taking care of Liberty, I could lend him some extra assistance if needed, or maybe even work on Rheinland or something. Edit: Could also call the Rogue predecessors something like "Unregistered Citizens", would maybe make sense too, since, didn't Rogue history mention something about the ancestors of the Rogues being people who were "Pushed out" of Libertonian society? ;) Developing the Sirius 250 A.S. Mod - kikatsu - 04-01-2010 First off I want to say that this is really a fantastic idea for a mod...I have been lurking about the threads for this for a while. I look forward to seeing where this goes... and I want to ask, what do you plan to do about regenerations? Developing the Sirius 250 A.S. I look forward to seeing where this goes... I'm not entirely sure on regens yet. Right now the plan is to have no shields, so shield batteries arent an issue. Still thinking about nanobots, but we may not include them either, maybe for larger ships we'll add some kind of repair-over-time effect, simulating the crew repairing the ship, but fighters will have to dock to repair. We've settled on just calling that group the "Liberty Pirates" with a "Pirates - Name" affiliation tag. The idea is that they're multiple bands of pirates, each working on their own, but loosely organized between one another. In-RP, the 'liberty pirates' will just be a bunch of ragtag pirates working for themselves or in small groups, but they'll all be collected under one npc affiliation. Developing the Sirius 250 A.S. Mod - tyro - 04-02-2010 Star Size: 100k x 100k <=> Planet Size: 50k x 50k isn't planet too big comparing to sun? our Sun is about 100x bigger than Earth. I know it is impossible to maintain right scale (if star size is 100k, planet size should be 1k and distance between planet and sun 12000k), but at least keeping right tendency. stars in FL are so so small.. Developing the Sirius 250 A.S. Mod - swift - 04-02-2010 I quite like this project and I'm willing to do all I can to aid it, so yes, you can count me in, Ten. Sadly, I do not have any Freelancer-modding skills. However, I can do anything that is writing or thinking-related, whether it be infocards, rumors, the story, by 'story' meaning helping with the writing itself, as per your own ideas, or helping with the design, though I'm aware you probably already have a wholesome idea of how to do it all). That's quite a broad and vague description, I am aware, but I assure you that it really covers the whole breadth of those fields, and I'm willing to work hard for a good cause. Until June, though, I probably will not be able to do anything along the lines of ingame testing, but I am able to do the work I described up there and meet any deadlines I'm set with because those kind of things I can work up a schedule easily and make it work with RL commitments. Keep in touch if you need any help along the lines of what I described up there, and if not, that's cool too, and I wish you all the luck you can get with your project. Developing the Sirius 250 A.S. Mod - Geeky - 04-02-2010 I can model ships/stations whatever if you need another. |
