Aren't all of them troll threads?

@Akura,
Rheinland Imperial Navy lost due to stupid commanders and tactics, it's mentioned in rumours and infocards in S-13.

Ashes thread is most certainly not Troll! But what is more needed is a general thread, rather than many specific ones. Class overlap is a problem when it comes to size.

It's fine.

It may be big, but armour and guns work for it.
Besides, Rheinland are known for sucking with Caps. Their fleet was so crap for the war against the GMG and the Nomad War, they lost massively on that.

Exactly Elven. Rheinland has the superior capital fleet, not in numbers but in experience and technology. War material of any kind is Rheinlands best profession.

Due to the Simga war Rheinland lost their whole fleet due to a stupid action and order given by the Fleet Admiral. This mistake which led to this incident will never happen again. Military schools deal with this failure all day long.

The nomad war brought Rheinland back on its feet. It had the biggest fleet in whole Sirius. When the nomads were defeated and Rheinland was free again, they found themself within a pile of fragments once again.
Rheinland knew how it is to work their way up and they managed to turn a small non functional fleet into a dangerous war machine again.

The battleships are fully operational again, and there are many out there. Cruisers are regular deployed and I dont need to talk about Gunboats and Wraths.
Rheinlands fleet is not that big as Liberties, but Liberty has nearly no experience in large scale warfare.

It is basically their first real war and they don't have made a lot of mistakes to learn from. Rheinland is way ahead of them and does not need the superior numbers to fend off the Libertonian forces.
This war started due to the Libertonians thinking they can easily claim Hudson and wipe out Rheinland within the year. Their offensive is pretty much stuck at the defensive linies of Hamburg.

Rheinland lost a lot of its Military officers due to the nomad infections, but the knowledge about warfare was never lost. The current leadership and even the younger Officers are a terrible enemy to face for Liberties old man and women in command.

EDIT: Oh and I missed the point.
No rescaling needed. Rheinland always depends on massive hull and firepower rather than agility.
That this concept isnt working against a few more agile battleships is to blame on the game mechanics with strafing for larger ships, rather than the size.
Cap battles should be more static instead of consisting of kiting and strange manuvers looking stupid for large ships. (Cruisers are except from this, since its their purpose to play with large ships and their range)

Elven, if the BS doesn't fit your flying style, then don't get it. Rheinland has a superb cruiser. Try that one. You will find out its a beast.

Also: Igiss will start rescaling vanilla ships right after hell freezes:)

this threat as well as this are waste of forum space...if devs were to listen every single idea that is posted on this forums Discovery would be very boring and dull mod...

Not every single thing should be similar to what opponent has...ya...go and kill any diversity...

Rescaling Rheinland battleship - Dashiell - 05-08-2010

it may be big. But when it has you sighted and in range and you can't evade its fire, you are dead. very, very fast. plus it has epic armor. It's fine.

- massive hull strenght
- massive firepower
- superior powerplant
- rheinland weaponry (very awesome stuff)
- and it's even painted in camo green

So it's fine.

Yea, agreed. No resize needed. Just special tactic of deployment of this ships is required. Use some brains and find situation when this ship will work great and use them in this way. Without ever flying one i know at least one situation when RM bs will Raep hard and go rock'n'roll arond in hard style.

And

Quote:- and it's even painted in camo green

When the hell are we going to get someone to moderate these forums. I agree with doom, this post and the others like it should be zapped. The first post about the Kusari Dessie, I understand. There is a problem there, maybe. But enough is enough. They scaled them that way for a reason. Stop taking up space.

I wish I could do it. I'd make people go back to the Birthday Forum for their +1 pretty quick.

I think they were trying to make a point of some kind with these threads. Failed, though, they should have posted comparisons with another Heavy Battleship, like the Juggernaught or Liberty Carrier. Posting a picture of a heavy battleship next to a light battleship is like posting a picture of a Light Fighter next to a bomber.

All of these discussions should be in the balance section anyway.
