gaian GB revision - Jinx - 07-22-2010 akura - i have no idea what you re talking about - the claymore is balanced well... i have used it extensivly against its most common enemies - and never had any problem with it - and i never heard anyone else mention the claymore to have balance issues. gaian GB revision - Akura - 07-22-2010 I mean, for a Kusari based ship, it's actually really big. Balanced well as it is, but aren't Kusari ships known for being small? gaian GB revision - Seth Karlo - 07-22-2010 Ooooh, no hitboxing work? I approve of this ship. gaian GB revision - Govedo13 - 07-22-2010 I like the old one more... gaian GB revision - frozen - 07-22-2010 O_______o that is actually a nice model. it looks like a vagabond from EVE ( linky ), and quite frankly, i really do like it alot. make sure you give the wings a bit of a solar panel style texture + opacity (i can explain that if you dont know it). gaian GB revision - Jinx - 07-22-2010 hmm - i thought about making the wings totally solid - in the typical bretonian "nailed metal" ornament. when i make them translucent - the kusari feeling might really be a bit too much - cause then it might look more kusari like than the kusari GB edit: never mind, you re right - i think they really need to be skinned like the reflecting solar panels ( used on the satelites ) gaian GB revision - Akura - 07-22-2010 What I mean is this: Light GB - 400,000 energy Light GB - 400,000 energy Heavy GB - 600,000 energy And you say the Claymore is Kusari design? gaian GB revision - Jinx - 07-22-2010 i m sorry, you lost me there add solar panels to the current claymore and you get a blunt-nosed kusari GB of a larger size. small / agile =/= kusari - kusari is also large and lumbering ( battleship ) and the chimaera isn t exactly agile either nor really small edit: and why the heck should i compare it to the corsair GB? - compare it to the heavy bretonian GB - which is the primary enemy ( since its been ages that i saw a molly/rogue gunboat ) gaian GB revision - tansytansey - 07-22-2010 To be honest I prefer the current Gaian Gunboat... It feels like more of a Bretonia Kusari blend. This ship however, if you took off the fins on the back it wouldn't look remotely Kusarian or Bretonian. Plus, I can see that the turrets are prositioned towards the back of the model. Terrible layout for a Gunboat to have their turrets towards the back and spread on the wings. Gunboats excell when their turrets are on the front end of the ship and grouped together. The Rogue Gunboat is a good example. The difference between mounting three Razors on the nose and mounting 3 Razors on the sides/bottom is phenominal. The Gaian Gunship currently has a decent layout for turrets, even if it only has 5 and one is practically a forward cannon, the turrets are closely grouped together. gaian GB revision - max_was_ere@hotmail.com - 07-22-2010 As I've been flying the Gaian Gunboat a lot, It do get sick of the remark every now and then about a flying dong. Does drive one insane. This design while looking really quite good, Doesn't exactly fit the Gaian Gunboat. Gaians are all about nature so straight edged design doesn't fit the build of nature and a flowing feel. It would be perfect for a Liberty or Rhineland feel without the wings as they can't get enough of their straight edges. My two cents- Hey I want those two cents back ! |
