The Coalition withholds the right to devise and edit it's own history as per faction rights. we are, after all, the winners, and the winners write the history books.:D

In all seriousness, Morgan and I have been working a long time to figure out this particular segment of history. Presentation in due time.
The Corsairs withold the right to devise and edit the history of the Hispania and the Alliance as per faction rights.:P
Anyways, what he put together is based off of Starlancer, which i believe counts as canon, although his intepretation of it may not be.

FR2) Official factions that are attempting to represent the entirety of a NPC affiliation have the responsibility to be caretakers of the history and evolving storyline of the NPC faction in such a way that it remains open to involvement by non-player faction affiliates to the extent that is permitted by the server rules.

Alvin, just stick to Starlancer, please. Q_Q Those guys were bad*** commies and deserve to be preserved!:D

The Alliance-Coalition War - Capt. Henry Morgan - 03-17-2011

Alvin and I have been looking at all the official information we can find. We'll keep true to it, you can trust us there.

Interesting note: At no point in either SL or FL was the Coalition proven to be communist. The red stars aren't evidence, either. The Russian Federation uses the red star as their roundel, and they're not communist, either. That having been said, we're very likely taking the commonly accepted Communist Coalition route. It's good storytelling. :)

We shall see, but you can probably tell, Morgan and I butt heads quite a bit on this.

Though, after weeks, we finally settled the Coalition flag issue...
Mine

though he won the stupid ugly seal issue.

Ye. Have responsibility of the history. In Sirius. We don't know anything about Sol, so we have all rights to give our theories about it.

History belongs to everyone.

By all means give your theories, however the history does not belong to everyone here. It is squarely in my domain and within my faction rights to define.

I am simply asking you to respect that.

And I am saying that while you can have your theories, I am well within my rights to veto them all, dismiss them and relegate them to history once this thread dies.

Now if you actually want to contribute to the Coalition, you are welcome to go to recruitment, apply, work hard in the faction, earn a position of respect, and then supply your theories. One-two years, and maybe I will listen. Until then, the CR are over there, go deal with their history and leave my faction alone.

I believe the point that they're trying to make is that the history of the SCRA begins with Sirius while the history of the Coalition and the Alliance belongs to everyone and is larger than any one faction.

The Alliance-Coalition War - arvg - 03-17-2011

That's not exactly correct.

I can see their point, however, it directly affects my faction's history and Roleplay, and I have already been assured I am within my rights to say no to this.

So this thread is pointless. The matter is closed. The results of this thread will be ignored by the Coalition faction as being useless conjecture.
