I did a Havoc replace awhile back - nobody wanted it.
This post is relevant in that you'll never be able to please everybody, and the silly devteam doctrine seems to be that if it doesn't please 90% of the forum dwellers, then it isn't going in game.

Slave Liner is bad, I don't know why I even have one. I hope that one will be replaced too, as it also is bugged.
Rheinland Pirate Cruiser and Vidar are also two Ships that need to be replaced, because they are Imports.

Community opinion doesn't matter, it's ultimately his decision what makes the final cut.

When the slave liner was retextured, because it was actually new model of the same design. AoM who I asked to make the ship, was not happy with the technical optimization of the original and wished to improve it. After re-doing the model, he could not re-use the last texture because I had that done by Foresaken, a dev from another mod. Since the new optimized model was discovery exclusive, using the texture he made would be a violation of the agreement we made.
As such the S-Liner was given a texture made from re-colored vanilla textures. The intent was to have something that could blend in with Z-Series pirate ships but still be unique enough to allow future ships to be added to the 'line'. (At the time the Slavers Union had aspirations of one day getting a Slaver NPC faction inserted into the mod)
Since the texture is solid from a technical stand point, and in my opinion, a conceptual one as well. (I am the original commisioner so bias is certainly there) I would not expect to see any devs jump at re-doing it any time soon. There are several other ships that need the attention far more.

Slave liner be damned. It has a few " errors" in it. (Fly in front of a sun, go into turret view and you'll see the sun through the ship at parts) What I personally don't get is why there's no remodel of ships like the spatial or the raven's talon, who sort of need it due to the fact that they're imports.

The Spacial could be a junker ship by it's looks. It would look a lot better with that wing removed - What do you need wings in space for anyway? All it does is clip roids...
Make it a more or less symmetrical triangular ship, move the turrets around a bit, remove that wing/foil thingy entirely, and you'd have something looking much better and handling a little better too.
