renzu LF, HF, VHF - Cond0r - 08-16-2010 It looks really nice. The VHF reminds me of the GC/BD VHF, very nice indeed. If it would have the stats of the Katana, that would be epic. Also, I don't know anything about hitboxes, etc. But wouldn't the Katana/Blossom hitbox fit on this? renzu LF, HF, VHF - schlurbi - 08-16-2010 That looks pretty cool, except the bright Texture on the Engines. renzu LF, HF, VHF - Kubotan - 08-16-2010 Not commenting on the design as a whole, I'm going to bring out something more specific. To be honest it doesn't really look like there is something "new" on each class-vessel. If you take a look at the borderworld Light-Fighter, Heavy-Fighter, and Very Heavy Fighter, each class-vessel carries the same style (Dagger, Stiletto and Sabre) , but all look unique from one another. Only small components are added, yes, but they radically change the vessels so they stand-out from each other. On these ships, from the Light Fighter to the Very Heavy Fighter, they practically look the same with the wings and sizes being the only differences. And although these two components could have the potential of clearly changing the looks of each class-vessel, they don't on this particular case. Therefore, this ship-line doesn't feel that creative if you ask me. Let me quickly present a ship-line which is more relevant to this proposed Renzu one. Take a look at the Chimaera (VHF) and the Wyrm (LF), they follow the same style and textures, but have components that make them stand-out from each other to a point where you can clearly define the two different class-ships. Now you could argue that these are only place-holders and therefore it's hard to spot differences as of now, but to me it's never the textures which makes the differences, it's the components and shapes of the vessels which makes them different from one another. renzu LF, HF, VHF - Talesin - 08-16-2010 Greetings, i like the Ships design - they look fragile, but agressive - just as the Ki is flewn actually. Just Compare: - Patriot to Liberator - Hawk to Griffin to Falcon to Eagle - Loki to Odin to Thor - Wolfhound to Werewolf - Barracuda to Hammerhead (my favorite) Example? Barracuda Hammerhead [ wondering which parts are new? click the Link:P http://www.fotos-hochladen.net/hammerheadseditedct38zvm7.png ] I think these replacements are awesome. Regards, Talesin renzu LF, HF, VHF - SeaFalcon - 08-16-2010 @Talesin: AHAHA big pictures... Oh and about the barracuda and the hammerhead Why do the Manta and the Hammerhead look the same? Make a new barracuda and give it the name Hammerhead and it's stats and remove the hammerhead. So we get the same in the BW- line Just an opinion. sry for the off topic, On topic: I seriously hope the models get through since not many do. Seems these have enough needed to get permitted into the new mod. renzu LF, HF, VHF - Kazinsal - 08-16-2010 I like them. They're nice as replacements altogether (though those body textures look very Order-ish... Little out of place but still cool!) for .86. ' Wrote:Just Compare:There're no model changes in those. They use the exact same CMP files, hence being Mk I and Mk II fighters respectively. --Troy renzu LF, HF, VHF - Kubotan - 08-16-2010 It's a fair point you got there Talesin and the BHG-line example is pretty valid - I just feel that there is nothing new on each ship, with the exception of the wings/no-wings on the Light Fighter and the HF/VHF. Guess it boils down to different perspectives, in the end though I'm not going to fly any Renzu ships regardless, so I don't really mind. renzu LF, HF, VHF - Friday - 08-16-2010 What happened to the other set of proposed Renzu ships? renzu LF, HF, VHF - Rommie - 08-16-2010 The wings are love, but i keep getting the feeling that the LF would need at least a bit of wing area, because it looks too much like the GMG fighter. Also, the wing on the bottom of the VHF looks a bit too big in comparison with the ship's body size. Those things are really cool. renzu LF, HF, VHF - jxie93 - 08-16-2010 ' Wrote:What happened to the other set of proposed Renzu ships? Unfortunately, the images are long gone in that one. |
