Maybe I'm biased, but it sounds to me Virus that you are just looking for a way to be excluded from the keepers reign of terror and possibly pick up on their equipment. Maybe I have just seen too many..idiots...on the server? Sorry if I come off as an a55.

The Keepers seem to be stuck in one region of space. The Phantoms aren't. Also, Phantoms have access to Nomad gear already. Scan their NPCs.

The Phantoms are the folks that do 'Reign of Terror'. Even I'm scared of them.

Off Topic: The Phantoms have a bigger rain of terror then any others on this server, including the Keepers. The Phantoms are actually currently hostile to the Keepers which was decided by Darkstar. Though, Virus has some good RP coming along as he said in that post and neutrality could work out. So, you were saying? ...

On Topic: The Good; The Keepers have been doing well I'll admit. They've stayed to their zone of influence, they've stuck to RP, and their ships are purely in tact.

The Bad; See, the thing with Terrorist factions (Yes, in server rules terms you count as Terrorists) is that if you go out to much you can be classed as PvP whores. The Phantoms have been called that many times before, we learned to ignore it as most of the time we were called PvP whores or any other names by total idiots (sorry to all of you who have, but you brought it upon yourself). Just a friendly suggestion; try calming down on going out everyday. Yes, it's fun and I'm happy to see the Keepers active. But try restricting in a bit more. Look at the Phantoms for example, we only go out on big attacks every 2 weeks to a month at a time. And still manage to keep active and in RP.

Just some advice from your everyday pwnzor.:P

Keepers Beta Test 1 - Monk - 11-20-2007

I was skeptical at first but I think things are coming around. My only real problem is the ridiculous response by defenders. I see some keepers in Delta, I grab my Nepthys and fly to FP11. There I find a horde of BSs taking on a single Nomad LF. I tried to have a fight but the lag was ridiculous and the Keeper was just trying to evade anyway. I call Jinx for report and hear that Keepers had only brought two GBs earlier. This capshipwhoring on the part of the defenders is just stupid and not fun. Furthermore, its seems that other players, not the keepers, are the PvP whores here. Everyone wants to have the Keeper Kill show up with their name after it. Bleh!

Anyway, I think some restraint needs to be had on the community's part when engaging Keepers. Just my useless two cents

The thing I like most is the mystery aspect.

If you guys play on that well and torment various pilots with semi-insane telepathic messages whilst not putting this up in a message dump, you could create a real sense of paranoia in the Omicrons.

Keepers Beta Test 1 - Drake - 11-20-2007

Yeah, I think that's just a lot of people responding after FP11 was attacked by the Keepers a number of times, when there wasn't really anyone around to defend it. So now there's a bit of an abundance of defenders.

In my opinion, a faction based around the nomads is a good one, but I don't really think that it can work out to well. A nomad's RP is basically; kill humans. You can't change it much from that. What would work better though, is a Wild faction, because the wild are humans that have been possessed by the nomads, and have been converted to the nomad way of thinking. They would also be able to communicate with the Humans and this could add to interactions between the Wild and the Militaries.

I agree with verg. (Sorry for the short post but, I could not think of anything more without repeating what was already said.)

Keepers Beta Test 1 - LancerZero - 11-20-2007

I don't think there's anything wrong with people coming to defend FP11 if it's under attack...but the ridiculous number of people stationed there is not going to make any kind of Keeper RP very possible. However, I'm not sure how to really limit the people stationed there, except maybe for limiting it to people who have bases in-system, or are close allies with those that do. Like Zoners, Corsairs, and their allies...which, I know, STILL doesn't cut it down terribly much. =P So if we did that, anyone not in those categories would have to come in from their nearest allied base. Still, overkill would probably result. Not too sure what to do about it.

I do agree with Verg and Nexus; a Wild faction would be well worth considering...

Keepers Beta Test 1 - Blackheart - 11-20-2007

as long as the keepers can RP in ways other then killing everything, then it will work.

simply must find ways to do that that wouldn't be out of character.

I hope to have some role play interaction with them at some stage, not just fighting them.
