The Keepers Faction (Beta) - bluntpencil2001 - 11-24-2007 The Corsairs would defend Yaren... hell, don't they have Osiris NPC patrols out that way, which they don't in Gamma? The Keepers Faction (Beta) - Blackheart - 11-24-2007 Any keepers that can, I'd like them to read my role play story. (in sig) It should offer some very interesting role play between them and myself, if they are willing. The Keepers Faction (Beta) - Treewyrm - 11-24-2007 Regarding situation with Delta. It's getting better. At first there were totally random people with tags/ids/roles incompatible for alliances to suddenly come out to defend FPXI in massive amount of capital ships. It's that bandwagon attitude has made things wrong. But it slowly gets better. People realize that we aren't going to play if they continue like that. They are denying fun of PvP/roleplay for themselves, that's my point. They go more they will deny it even more. The bandwagon trend has to go away, it's not going to happen like that. I will not throw my members into the lion's den for a suicide, I'm responsible to make their stay enjoyable and fun. As for amount of members. I don't want faction to be turned into powerhouse that will steamroll all over the place. It is not how I envisioned the faction and it will never happen. I don't know where people are getting this strange idea of Keepers getting dozens of members and massive cap fleet (as it has been said before, there is only one battleship and it's not being used much, or do you prefer to have every faction member running on those?). Amount of players is limited, it will increase but not by a large amount in the very short time. Getting a lot players onboard quickly is too dangerous for a faction with much restrictions imposed on, that's what people seem to fail to understand, and I hope this message will help to clear it up. It's the attitude towards fresh factions causing problems here, people stumping them while they are new by massive force grouped with absolutely random people for a kill. Plus it's that roleplay leverage for the sake of PvP, be reasonable and don't get to the bottom of the roleplay abyss on that pvp bandwagon falling down into it. This is what needs to be changed for everyone to enjoy the game and the relationship between the faction as in roleplay and pvp. As I said in the faction post, roleplay is much dependent on how people roleplay around, so by destroying it literally, with your own hands, you are denying your own fun in the long run, for yourself and others who are planning to have roleplay events. As if you are putting your hand on the page of a book so that your other hand cannot turn to the next page and continue the story, and everyone else around who are also reading this book cannot continue reading it. Fundamentally my aim is to provide fun time and material for stories to everyone involved, this includes both opposing factions and the members of my faction as well. A constructive path I have put my faction onto. It's a tough task but this is how it goes, how it should be, and how I plan it to go on. Two choices are at hand: deny yourself and others to read the next page or turn the page to continue the story. Which would be yours? (in sig) Blackheart... i have just read you story, i like it very much, and i am sure the keepers have read it too. Keep up the good writing. Cheers The Keepers Faction (Beta) - Equinox - 11-24-2007 I don't think the amount of players that came to Delta at the start was totally the defenders fault, there was a Sirius wide message to all players, of course your going to get everyone coming to Delta. And i don't think saying everyones jumping on the bandwagon just wanting to pvp with the Keepers is right either, 90% of the people ive seen there have come to Delta because they want to get involved with the role play which is to be expected, its something new people are going to want to be involved. The Keepers is not like any other new faction, the Nomad faction is a very new thing on this server and theres going to be allot of hype about this faction, but i do believe that this hype is starting to die down and you wont see as many people coming to defend. I agree that there shouldn't be so many random people in Delta, the only real factions that have interests there are Zoners, Order and Corsairs, any other faction there have left there ZoI and really shouldn't be there. So i guess what im trying to say is what went on at the start is really to be expected, everyone wanted to come and take a look at this new faction, there was allot of hype but now thats died down you wont see it as much. I think in future your attacks should be more planned out like an event where it can be specified who will be there to defend it and how many ships will be there, this should stop the amount of random people that would be there and help it be a much more fairer fight. The Keepers Faction (Beta) - BULLDOGNK - 11-24-2007 Ok thanks for all the feed back, The Keepers are now out of Beta and a full faction of 6 members. Thanks for all your support on this.. Cheers |
