DartStriker's 5 things not to do to a Signature - Dejavu - 10-11-2010 I use all of them but number three. I'd better stop making sigs Q_Q Oh wait, mine are free anyway. ^.^ DartStriker's 5 things not to do to a Signature - Waratah - 10-11-2010 Lens Flare is $hite it ruins the whole sig, if you need a light source you are better off making a new layer setting it to Overlay choose a soft round brush and highlight the area that needs lighting. Bevel and emboss belongs in Paint and should of never been incorporated in Photoshop. It makes sigs look ridiculous. DartStriker's 5 things not to do to a Signature - McFly - 10-11-2010 Quote:I would never mock the magic wand, because I use it all the time. But it must be used with care and respect. I totally agree to that point. Generally speaking this guidline can be used for any tool and filters offered in photoshop. Any tool (filter, bevel & emboss, lens flare whatever..) has a right to exist if it is used in that way that it does not appear obviously though creating a nice effect. Another debatable thing is the shameless use of "seen-to-often-fonts" like Comic Sans MS... DartStriker's 5 things not to do to a Signature - DartStriker - 10-11-2010 That should be the next one I do, 5 fonts you should never use on your signature. Between those stupid script fonts, and crap like comic sans, it could drive a person mad. |
