The 4xxx is a very good series in general. I have a 4890 1GB GDDR5 in my desktop and it can do ultra Crysis at 2x AA smoothly.

The 5xxx series is more economical though.

so the 4850instaled,and: by try runn 3dmark06-IDirect3D9::GetDeviceCaps failed:Not available (D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE),then i did install DirectX 9c,then when i start FL-FL did not detected a 3D capable video card.....hellllll! i used catalyst from amd.com...What wrong, in properties is card detected corectly.

Uninstall and reinstall the ATI drivers.

Newer driver isn't the better driver in some cases =). glad that it worked out for you Jarek.

I remember Catalyst 11 drivers f...ing up everything and people rolling back to 10 to fix issues. It was something about CCC i guess.

When you make a screenshot, are the lines also on the picture?
If you don't want to play the latest games with all the best effects, the 4850 should be more than enough.

Thanks to this i understood what Jarek Wrote...
