To Corsair Empire - Selena_Benitez - 12-09-2010 ' Wrote:We are fully prepared to sacrifice ourselves for the greater good of prosperity in the Omicrons. COMM ID: Selena Benitez SOURCE: Yaren Base, Omicron Delta Funny, that. I think after this little outburst we will also be prepared to sacrifice you for the greater good of prosperity in the Omicrons. At least we are in agreement. See you in space, S. Benitez To Corsair Empire - Chico - 12-09-2010 Comm ID: Chico Benitez. Location: Planet Crete, Omicron Gamma. Broadcast to all Corsairs still on this channel. The brave warriors of Crete, all 76 pilots RIP. Either Pavlos was right and they broke lose (he was warned) or the Major crashed his ship into some planet. http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=86436 Corsairs are not sure who these witnesses are who made these alledged statements but it can be clearly seen from footage that the planet in question is blue.... Not Crete then... The Major was obviously incompetant and 'missed' a whole planet... The planet, unknown to corsairs means he missed the entire system. Infact, he missed the Empire. Zoners and Corsairs alike will be happy to know that any connection between his reality and ours was purely coincidental. Chico Benitez To Corsair Empire - DarthBindo - 12-09-2010 Oh Thats jsut precious. Really. Made my day. I wonder if that same tactic would work on CorsairStation 9..... hmmmm. Anyways. Back to plotting, planning, scheming and generally being a nasty Corsair Intelligence Officer. Oh, and hey. Dont we have some wacky planetary shield thingy? To Corsair Empire - Coin - 12-09-2010 Myrtos Villa,
Planet Crete, Omicron Gamma. *A pennant flaps idly in the breeze, which stirs up dust-devils around the feet of the mourners* *A man of obvious senority, dressed in an alabaster white floor-length gown stands centrally in the ring of mourners* *He raises his head, and declaims in an ancient tongue* Requiem æternam dona eis,
et lux perpetua luceat eis. Te decet hymnus, in Corsair, et tibi reddetur votum in Crete. Exaudi orationem meam; ad te omnis caro veniet. Requiem æternam dona eis, et lux perpetua luceat eis. *In a more normal voice, he says*
Dearly Beloved We are gathered here today not to mourn those lives cut short, but to celebrate their efforts. Their valiant actions in escaping from captivity, and we can only assume navigating away from Crete towards Gran Canaria, must have been driven by some terrible knowledge - perhaps they knew that if they attempted to leave the ship, it would have exploded, and that they were doomed from the start. Their unthinking sacrifice shall not go unremembered. Right here, in the gardens of the Myrtos Villa, a memorial shrine will be built, to honour the fallen, and to provide a sanctuary of peace and solitude for those wishing to meditate on the loss of their loved ones, or on the bravery they showed - Such bravery can only be copied, never bettered. Their unthinking sacrifice shall not go unavenged. Right now, eager pilots have signed up to replace those lost in this awful catastrophe. Their martyrdom has been a rallying call, and for that, we can be forever grateful. Now, let us bow our heads in remembrance.
*Fade to Black*
