L. O. K. I. - Kane - 01-12-2006 "Hmm..." Together they managed to get the bulky pod onto a cart. As they wheeled it away, DarkStar voiced his opinion. "It's a safe bet there's only one person here. Life pods can support one human for weeks, or indefinatly if cryogenicly frozen. It can hold two people for a few days, but they better be lovers, if you catch my drift." He gave a wry grin. "What probobly happened is that one either didn't make it to the pod, or suffered a malfunction while trying to eject. Either way, he's dead and we've probobly got a shaken up freighter pilot on our hands, nothing more." I know you're thinking the same thing though, Virus... What if it IS something else? DarkStar glanced over to Virus, leaving the last thought unsaid but understood. L. O. K. I. - Virus - 01-12-2006 "Maybe..... Hopefully....." Virus had a feeling something was wrong. The Necross would normally be able to tell if something were scared out of its mind in a tiny little box, but he received nothing of the sort. "We're almost there..... We can't wait to open this thing." A slight smile showed on Virus' face. His curiousity was getting the best him. He had to know if what the pod contained was a challenge. L. O. K. I. - Kane - 01-12-2006 The life pod was taken into one of the containment cells on the brig. DarkStar and Virus were soon joined by two of DarkStars "marines," outfitted with the armor and heavy weapons found within DarkStars vast armory. The weapons were flachete guns; enlarged, automatic shotguns that fired a large spray of disks and needles whose points were almost filed down to a molecule wide (Or, if you don't like technobabbel, they could cut through just about anything given enough momentum). They wern't very good against armor (like say, the inside of a ship or real infantry), but chewed up flesh very well. The weapon of choise for bording operations as most ships didn't have armored troops, and if they did it was usualy light armor. DarkStar read the readouts on the pod. "One guy, awake, normal vitals. Funny..." DarkStar trailed off for a moment. "There isn't any identification for this guy." He looked up and gave an evil grin. "I think we caught a pirate." L. O. K. I. - Virus - 01-12-2006 "What are the chances?" Virus ran the thoughts through his minds. It made sense. If a pirate could have somehow got onboard, he would have most likely killed the crew. The only thing that didn't make sense was he would have a ship somewhere, which meant someone was out there looking for him or he left his ship floating for someone to find. |
