Strictly by the rules, using two accounts or computers to transfer equipment is illegal but we have stated that we will ignore this as along as it isn't abused.

Out of context

Cannon where is your avatar!?

Miners more oftenly perform a "dead drop", using the function of FL hook to maintain their mining ship's position in space to log out, switch to another account and immediately log back in on a hauler.

One computer. One account at a time.

Does it somehow impact your game?

Apart from slots, that is.

Or is it just trying to find another reason to sanction someone?
I'm not asking for anyone else or trying to get anyone else in trouble. I could care less what other people do as long as it doesn't negatively affect my game.

I'm asking this for myself, to avoid getting in trouble.

Thanks for the reply. Would either of these two scenarios be considered abuse? The opinion in this thread seems split.

On the one hand, neither of these scenarios is accomplishing anything that couldn't also be accomplished by a "dead drop," except that you're not going to have things just disappear as they sometimes can with a dead drop. This also has the advantage that it looks a whole lot better from an RP perspective (a smaller transport unloading a larger one that stays in space, rather than a larger transport dumping stuff overboard, disappearing, then having a smaller one pop into existence and pick stuff up to ferry it to the planet).

On the other hand, because opinion is so split on the matter, I think I'll stick to the "dead drop" method so as to avoid crossing the line into badness.

Thanks for the input, all.

I think, all your examples are forbidden by that rule.

Equipment.

The exception was made to let you tranfer your equipment in a safe way. Nor for increasing the ability to make much money as possible.

If you want to work with more than one ship/miner/hauler, mine in groups, with other pilots.
