Ulrich kept looking at his papers, arranged into neat piles in front of him on the table. He seemed uninterested in the conversation entirely.

"You'll find that during wartime the only job available to support one's self and one's family is the only one that one can take. Yes, there are many ways to make a living. However, it can also be said that one does not need to dedicate their life to taking the lives of innocents in the name of an ecological anomaly that is Gaia. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and quite simply I do not understand the fascination with that planet. But that is beside's the point."

One on of the sheets in front of him, Eichel began writing from right to left in the peculiar cursive style that is the Arabic script.

"You are attempting to make me understand that, in some mystical way, the soul of this planet is inside everything. You see, we have many different religious practices in the Coalition. I find them all an absurd collection of ancient desert myths designed to keep people committed to an ideology led by someone unaccountable."

He looked up at Jonah.

"I'm afraid your ideology fits into this as well," he said and returned to his papers.

"However, you have not explained to me why your movement engages in terrorist attacks against civilians and why in particular you believe this would benefit you in any way."

Jonah looked disappointed.

"Mon... How can you not see it? We pound at da BMM as much as we can ta' stoppem' from doin' ta' da rest o' Bretonia what dey did to Leeds! Would you want ta live in such a world? Where yah can't even fly thru da system wit' out havin' ta scrape da filth off'a yah ship wit' a bleedin' shovel? General, I must say I expected more."

Jonah sat back down, and tossed his dreads behind his shoulder.

"If yah wanna be as bland as possible... den, say we destroyin' da BMM's property ta' save Nature. Hence, we be called Nature's Last Hope. Yah might call it terrorism... I call it justice, since we at least gotta reason ta' strike at dem. Now, General, if yah dun' mind, lemme know what exactly yah need from us. We gunna make an arrangement or two afta' dat."

Jonah winked at the general playfully and crossed his arms across his chest.
