To: mining factions leaders, and admins/devs responsible for mining mods - dodike - 03-02-2011 It got spammed because there is nothing constructive in this thread other than "let's make skype chat". To: mining factions leaders, and admins/devs responsible for mining mods - Vito - 03-02-2011 Although mining was our primary source of income DHC salutes the removal of the mining mod and sees it as an opportunity to expand our activities. There is so much more to this game besides shooting rocks all day long. All you need is a bit of creativity and a lot of hard work. Focusing the entire activity of your faction on mining is a mistake. Any responsible CEO should not rely on a single source of income for his corporation. Time has come for you to choose: you fight and work or you cry all over the forum and you lose both members and respect. We fail to see how a guy who sits in a field and shoots rocks all day brings anything positive to a faction. There is little to none RP in mining and all they can do is run to the closest base and log their gunboats. Yes, we expect some difficulties too, but we are sure we will get over it and come out of this crisis stronger than ever. The miners will be gone, but traders will search for a faction that offers good contracts and good escorts and DHC will be there for them. We will adapt and we will move on no matter what the Disco Gods throw at us. This is DHC’s leadership opinion on the recent events. Especially when I nicely ask to not taking voice if you are not one from mentioned in topic title. Few people here want to make something which maybe will be good for all community. If someone can;t understand this he should not disturb us I don't like what your trying to tease within a Skype chat, but if you have ideas, and if you don't mind. Avoid making all this conspiracy only to suit yourself and Kruger. There are other, independant miners out there. Power affected your brain I think. And I think that you find my post very rude aswell, right? Whoever worked with Erio.Aughust knows what I'm talking about. Or any other factions than know how to do it properly. To: mining factions leaders, and admins/devs responsible for mining mods - Lucas_Fernandez - 03-02-2011 Just because admins turned mining off doesn't mean there will be less idiots on the server. There will only be more zoner whales screaming "don't tax me, I'm a zoner!". Saying the ore price must be reduced because people can buy a battleship too easily is just silly. If someone wants to buy a battleship, then he will buy it no matter what. +1 day mining won't stop them. To: mining factions leaders, and admins/devs responsible for mining mods - hermit - 03-02-2011 Telling us we didn't put anything in here constructive .... constructive ... I don't use forums, as you can see by my post count. Why? Well because while you are writing a response to one person, you are getting a million more responses ... and more from people who have nothing actually vested in the argument. We wanted to use skype as a place to discuss new and innovative ideas that possibly haven't been thought of yet. But I am starting to see the argument, disco doesn't like change, no matter the direction. We tried making a post to put some heads together that care about the server, not just their faction or their characters. But as shown, that was a waste of time. We did not want to make just another post about the mining mod, this was about a skype discussion we wanted to start ... you don't want to join? DON'T! My god, just because there is a post does not mean you have to post in it. You see how evil mining is? Creating an argument for why mining is bad, based on a persons justified reaction to your boredom is laughable. There is no comparison, all this entire post shows is what is wrong with the player base ... not the mining mod, not the forums themselves, not disco, nothing only the players. To: mining factions leaders, and admins/devs responsible for mining mods - Vito - 03-02-2011 ' Wrote:And if faction is mine-centric lore-wise? Adapt. Too many things had changed in Disco and you cannot tell me you can't trade because in the lore you mined. Things are evolving and you have to keep up with the times. Just think about this: you cannot mine forever, right? After hundreds of years of mining there is nothing to mine anymore. What do you do now? To: mining factions leaders, and admins/devs responsible for mining mods - hermit - 03-02-2011 Well we have been mining for hundreds of years now ... there is still plenty to mine and we only have a planet. Kruger will adapt, but I wish we could have gotten some sort of notice saying all our rp and ships are now worthless as a faction. Please remember Kruger was created BECAUSE of the mining mod. Edit: You want to know about the Kruger conspiracy? ... too bad, so sad ... for me to know ... and you not to know! *sarcasm* No conspiracy, I find things get done faster and more effective on skype. |
