Just another mining mod thread - Boss - 03-04-2011 Mining lasers emit a sort of radiation that results in no ill effects until the moment of death. Just another mining mod thread - Shardphoenix - 03-04-2011 Sirius-wide anomaly affecting mining emitters. Some distant star went supernova. Just another mining mod thread - Zukeenee - 03-04-2011 Just pretend that nothing's changed. In the lore, the same fields are still loaded with minerals and ore. It's not like we we pretended that no one was mining before the mining mod. Everything's still operating as usual. It's just that now, player activity doesn't reflect that. For example, let's say that you never see any [KSP] ships online, because the faction is horribly inactive. Does that mean that Kusari is a lawless land with no police forces whatsoever? No, that would be stupid. Same goes for miners and mining factions. They're not out in the fields mining? Well, okay, that doesn't mean that no one is mining. Non player-controlled mining platforms still exist, chugging away at their big ol' asteroids. NPC transports continue to transport the metals and gemstones that they're still mining. Nothing about mining in Sirius has changed, from an in-RP perspective. Just another mining mod thread - 11of10 - 03-04-2011 SNN: "Electromagnetic storm has swept away across the galaxy, affecting the equipment." Just another mining mod thread - SA_Scavenger - 03-04-2011 I think there is one very important aspect that everyone seems to miss. The very fact that the mining mod existed brought with it the very confrontations that fought over the raw material. It brought an energy to the game that will not be there without it. Forget about the lolminers, forget about the loltraders and lolpirates. This game needs the certain volatility that the mining mod brought. Without it, it is rather stagnant. Just another mining mod thread - Dart - 03-04-2011 its a sirius wide mining holiday. mining will be back guys, dieter already said so. Just another mining mod thread - hypermauler - 03-05-2011 ''Its green week, where all minig corporation cease any sort of out of hauling polution''... ( exept BMM but got shot down by NLH) Just another mining mod thread - jxie93 - 03-05-2011 For all life's mysteries - a wizard did it. The end of player mining requires no explanation, everything is still functional and ores are still in supply in terms of roleplay. No RP justification is needed for this.
