As I said before, and also considering an advice of VPS people, I talked with Commander of Base Leon.
He sent me the conditions for the convoy. I think they are reasonable.

I received your last message and I must say I am slightly concerned. I am unaware of your relationship with the Corsairs and also the whereabouts of Leon Base. We consider Corsairs as brutal pirates and thus we are reluctant to trust their word and even more tell them the exact time that our convoys will pass through.

I will have to talk with the higher ups first about this and we will get back to you. In the meantime I would be pleased if you give us more information about Leon Base and some reasons to trust them. I hope you understand Mr Pirx.

Dear Sirs

I understand this perfectly. You're right, Corsairs are brutal pirates and you can not trust them, at least not always. But they are not a disorganized bunch. They have structures, some rules and even laws, which you can use to live next to them, being tolerated. This, more or less is a basis of my relationship with them.

Freeport 5 is located in the Omega 41, a really dangerous system, which is recognized by Corsairs as their territory. We also feel the strong influence of Hessians, who lead with Corsairs a bloody war. In addition, there is Corsairs Base Leon not far from our station. This situation forces us to coexist with our neighbors. We supply them with food, we do not cause troubles, and they tolerate our existence. That's all. There is a jh to one of their systems approximately 8k from our station. Any movement around Freeport can not avoid detection. I do not know what they would do, if they would see Ageira ships in Omega 41

Long time I thought about ways to ensure the safety of your convoy. The protection during the journey will be VPS job, but in Omega 41, they would not be able to protect the convoy if Corsairs wish to destroy it. So I decided to talk with them openly about it. They accepted this fact and did not protest. Freeport 5 will have to compensate them this courtesy, but that is my business. Of course, I can not guarantee in 100% the security, but you may trust me. I care about this project very much and I will do my best, whatever the cost, so that the convoy will be safe in Omega 41.

The exact location of Leon Base (in order to keep the required distance)
Which person we should contact and inform him about our upcoming convoys.
Why VPS cannot protect our convoys in Omega-41 if the Corsairs decide to attack us.

Freeport 5 is located in the middle of sector 5E. Omega 41 system is a hub. There are six jh by which you can enter the system. Through Rheinland and Omega 15 or Omega 11 on the north, through Bretonia and Omega 5 or Omega 47 on the west, through Kusari, Sigmas and Omicron Theta on the east. No matter which way you choose don't go farther to the south than Freeport 5. Keep at least 10 kliks distance from the south border of sector 5. Nearest jh is Omicron Theta. You see Freeport 5 on the radar if you enter this way.

I am the only person (except VPS) you should inform about the convoy. I will care about the other people who should know about.

That is only my personal estimate of the power of adversary you may meet in Omega 41. VPS pilots may be the best, but I think they can't resist the force that may appear few minutes after troublesome incident. They know about. So there is always better to talk than necessity of active protection of the convoy.

Although we tried to keep our plans in secret, it looks like people around know about our shield thing. One of my pilots reported that he met local trade ship, which captain asked about that. From his words I can deduct, that someone else may be interested to obtain such thing, after its succesfull implementing in Freeport 5. But that is an unknown future.

The necessary raw materials are being processed on Pueblo as a write, and we are assembling the necessary transports to take the components to Freeport Five.

Due to the current tensions in Kusari, I have been spending quite some time there and communicating with their government; hence Mr Burton has been appointed to managing this project. Unfortunately, he has come down with a minor illness and so he will be out of the office for a few more days. Rest assured that everything is in motion, and shortly we will contact the Liberty Navy in order to acquire the core component - the shield emitter itself.

As soon as Venator Private Security is ready, our ships should be headed to your station.
