You don't like barges that much, do you? Try this:
1. make pirate (preferably bomber or gunboat)
2. find barge
3. 20mlrdie
From here things can go two ways:
If you get paid:
4a. ??????
5s. profit
... and if you don't get paid:
4b. pew pew pew
5b. ??????
6. profit (in the form of lulz)

I've stated an opinion. It's not because they aren't 30 paragraphs long that they shouldn't be stated. Besides, +1s don't exist anymore.
EDIT: I've only tried the barge on SP. I found it to be quite maneuvrable, according to my personal tastes and the usual games I play. Haven't tried in MP.

so it's not ok to see barges online,
Yet when i go into gamma i see about 20 Dreads sitting around doing nothing.
Same when i'm in alpha and NY, so its fine for all the lolcaps to sit around and do nothing?
Also when you make missions with a BS against osiris npcs in Eta you can make about 100m an hour, so whats the difference?

Of course I play the game, several hours a week, even. Realizing the true purpose of the barge, I found it silly to see so many people online using it, To be honest, I've pirated in the taus a lot in the recent weeks, and pretty much all I've seen were groups of Dacites filling up barges. Then these dacites would escort the barges so they could trade with them.
EDIT: I seriously feel offended by the use of your language there. There was no necessity to be so rude.

if They're stupid enough to sit in the Taus and get pirated then sure..Pirate the crap outa them.
However Do Not take your lulwhat anger out of us players who actually RP whilst trading on a barge, I sat in a system for 4 hours the other day on my barge whilst RPing that cruise had failed and i only had impulse.

Anger? Do I sound like I am angry? Actually not. I've actually thought about this quite some days, and figured that the first post was the best way to resume the situation. The barges shouldn't be able to move so ''well''. I simply cannot understand why people can even jump from a system to the other with it. It should almost require a divine intervention to do such a thing.
