Switching Tags - MB52 - 02-16-2008
Easiest way, is to get planetform maxed green,t hen go to all bases that are also max green and abort 1 or 2 missions, enough to get them lower then planetform. Then head to the "blinky" faction and abort missions till you are neutral, now your faction changes to the highest other faction, which should be planetform, since you got the others below max.

You also have to keep in mind that factions are present on your list even if you haven't been exposed to one of their ships yet, and you therefore can't see it on the list. In other words, it is possible to switch Tags to a faction that wasn't even on your list visibly. Lane Hackers have had this problem when trying to get the Lane Hacker Guard tag. Blood Dragons moves up to second on the list from all the LH mission completions, even if Blood Dragons aren't visible on the last yet.
So, before trying to actually make the switch, you should do your best to get as many similar factions visible on your rep list as possible. Basically, if you are unlawful, get all of the friendly and allied factions on your list, and the comparable ones if you are lawful.
