Well, to tell you the truth: the years pass the faster the older you get. That's probably because of subjectively relating a timespan to time already lived.
For a six year old one year is a sixth of his life, for you it's a 25th, for a 60 year old its then only a 60th of his life.
So better consider your first 25 as a subjectively felt half of your life. At least. Considering a future backview.
