Hm. I mostly like imageshack best. Don't know for how many others it's the same way, but for my location photobucket is the slowest. If there are posts using photobucket pics/screenies, I mostly read over them, because it sometimes takes minutes to load them. Imageshack pics load immediately.

i use imageshack and i dont have any issues.

only thing about it that annoys me is having to log in each time - for some reason, it wont remember my login info, so i can skip that annoying step.

and yes - i always link directly to the image - why would you do anything else?

I've been using Photobucket free for a while now and I've had few problems. I have over 1,000 images uploaded from Freelancer alone. It's a very reliable site. I don't know where the hate comes from here, but I must really agree with the OP that imageshack is extremely annoying. I love popups for seeing what I clicked a link to see!
