Weapon balance proposal - Yngen - 03-06-2008 -I like the idea of balancing class 9 guns against the Kraken 2. -The SOLARIS no doubt needs improvement, I would simply prefer it to be 4.0 with better damage. In fact, I think there should be a codename for each common refire and with a variety of muzzle speeds. I wouldn't expect to create enough codenames to represent every combination of refire and speed, but at least put variation among the codenames we already have. As it is all we have very limited choices with class 10 weaponry as compared with class 9. My preferences for class 10 weapons aside, I welcome any improvement that brings faction class 9 weaponry more on par with Outcast weapons. It's just balancing them a bit, so people on OC side don't have to use Krakens, and people on Corsair side don't have to use Coddies/Blasters. In other words, helping people to fully RP in their factions, with their own guns. Also, in my proposal, all Houses got a big upgrade, because their weapons mostly suck now. I'm not sure wherther Igiss is an Outcast.. but the Sabre got a mobility tweak and they have the best guns, they have access to all armours (which were supposedly an order/corsair advantage according to the card at one point), they have the best thruster and they have the inferno. All in all that is one powerful faction. Just a little improvement for the class9 House weapons, not much, +5% or +10% of damage is far enough to be more attractive and efficient About codename, the more we can find the more they will be used... so no tweak or else for OC allies : compare Sammael and vengeance... let say +5% damage sammael et +10% vengeance will do. Weapon balance proposal - Willert - 03-06-2008 i made a post about turrets not long ago i would love to see lvl 5 turrets to all lvl 9 guns, and yeah many house weapons sux if u look at the pirat's weapons, and all the talk about the krake yeah alot of damage but it uses alot of enengy...but many laser weapons need more damage they got high speed low damage and high enegy and dont calculate weapon efficiency with damage/energy usage it should be more like (damage * refire) / (energy usage * weapon range) Weapon balance proposal - McNeo - 03-06-2008 I agree with these weapon proposals, might make the RM and SA use their own guns instead of BHG/codies/nomads as well as most Corsair pilots use salamanca's. And thank god the suncannon D is getting a proposed boost. I dont know why, but it really bothered me how bad it was... Also, what about Natterturn Zwei's? And I thought Death's Hand mk V's were 5.88 refire, not 8.33? One spin off from this is that the 8.33 weapons are going to become very effective chainsaws now, which will speed up fights considerably, for people who know how to use the Inferno or Mini razor well enough to drop shields fast. Weapon balance proposal - pipsqueak - 03-06-2008 Fights last too long. Weapons boost would be welcomed. Take Sammuel for example. It is a lvl 9 but it is so far superior than GMG's Sky B its not even funny. Was that a typo ? 232 Vs 265 ?? at 8.33 refire that is the difference of 260+ damage /sec extra. Dont forget the extra range. Now Compare that to the Junker 8.33 and the Liberty Justice at lvl 9. The difference becomes rediculous. |
