I am - or rather did in .86. The new updates must have overwritten my manual changes though. It's not hard to do. The new yacht's files were in the .86 installation. I just changed names/files and it worked.

Of course the model is larger than the hitbox, but that doesn't matter (as long as you don't fly/fight it).

And I doubt that it counts as hack, as I used it for half a year without consequences.

Good thing I still have .86 installed.

Edit: Also, what effect would the unfitting hitbox have on flying it? Apart from it looking a bit funky for me when I crash into something and it goes into part of my ship.

None. As you use the model only clientside.

I don't mind the Democritus' minimalist styling.

What I DO mind is that it no longer has an advantage in thrust and impulse speed over other transports.
That was supposed to be one of the main factors that justified its massive pricetag.

It really needs either another speed buff to gain that advantage again, or something else that makes it worthwhile.
Perhaps full gunboat weaponry (and core), or even a gunboat shield?

there had been a HD revision of the yacht, but it looked like ppl liked the classic and rough yacht, so it went somewhere else.

Hey Jinx... would it be possible to obtain a .3ds or .obj file of the Democritus? I could try adding some superficial details (so that it wouldn't be necessary to alter the hitbox) and perhaps upgrade the textures a bit.
