Bretonia is red and white, Omega yellow, etc. The circles around the Systems represent which House they belong to. If you want a ZoI Map like this, you can talk to me.Actually I'm hoping that there's a way to combine those People look at the jpg map and think it means something, when it's really just an arbitrary grouping of systems according to how somebody feels about them. It's confusing to have so many types of maps (house space, zones, and this geography thing), and I am wondering if this is an opportunity to simplify things. What if the jpg map used the house ZoI for color legend, rather than the geographical interpretation or the child-faction zones? Systems like Orkney that are independent would be classed some other way (border system probably?). The systems with overlapping house ZoI like some of the independent systems could use the two-tone method. That might simplify things and allow enough flexibility to elevate the Outcast and Corsair houses to their appropriate level discoverymap.jpg - AeternusDoleo - 12-11-2011 The app this was made with cannot show where system connections overlap so it is not 100% accurate - but should give a good indication of what's where. discoverymap.jpg - YakumoRan - 12-15-2011 Omicron-64 & Sigma-60 disappear... discoverymap.jpg - West - 12-15-2011 sigma 19 -> Omicron Eta Alpha-> 85-> Eta Okinawa -> Sigma 13 Chugoku -> okinawa .. oh wait... last two might be simple Chugoku-> sigma 13.... damn cool Also what is Cayman? discoverymap.jpg - Omicron - 12-15-2011 Cayman is another Sabre fanclub homeworld. discoverymap.jpg - Azan27 - 12-15-2011 The location of the nebulas influences, but does not directly determine, the starspheres of a specific system or the fields within it. This is because not all the systems are on the same plane of elevation. That being said, from what I'm looking at based on the planned locations of the systems in regards to the image depicting the location of the nebula, I imadgen that 4.86 will have a much more accurate starsphere - map background relation. discoverymap.jpg - Ursus - 12-16-2011 It would be interesting to see a 3D relationship model of the systems. Is the sector even spherical We're assuming that this map is an accurate top-down view which has been 'flattened' to fit into two dimensions. We don't know for certain what it would look like if extrapolated into three dimensions. discoverymap.jpg - Ursus - 12-16-2011 That's what I mean, use the starsphere to extrapolate and populate a 3D relationship model discoverymap.jpg - Taneru - 12-16-2011 That would require unique starspheres for every system that are accurate with relation to every other system. |
