give it 3 level 9 guns, a torp/cd mount, and 2 level 3 turrets.
Turrets below the wings, guns on the top, and on the sides, and torp/CD in front.
Call it....Starstalker, fits the theme, and has a predatory feel.

Could you help my aging memory, what Lvl 3 turrets would be in RP for Xenos?

I can't remember any Xeno turrets at all.

And, besides, its not a xeno exclusive ship, is it? Thought the Star line were civvie ships...

Aha, my memoy gets worse, sorry, class 9s then.

As for the turrets, civilian ones would work, though the reason xenos don't have turrets might be because they'd hurt, alot.

4x class 9s would make it a HF, no torp slot would stop it from dishing out more damage then most HFs along with less armour then HFs balancing it being more agile then HFs.

That seems confusing doesn't it?

EDIT: well, it could be a xeno only version of the starblazer... Gives them a source of income if they sell it to other house pirate groups that onyl use civlian ships, though the unioners wouldn't be getting any cos they keep killing xenos in hudson or is it bering? which ever one has freeport 2.

There are Light fighters with mini slots, so I see no reason not to give a HF 5 guns and a torp...

Er, I've mounted 4x blackwidows and 2 shield-busters before, traders would scream bloody murder at the xenos having a ship and guns capable of scaring the daylights out of a gunboat and get the blackwidows nerfed fairly fast.

5x blackwidows + mini-razor = shield-less and all but dead train fairly quick, get a handful of ships with that load out and no capship is going to stay within three systems without staring at the chat list to see if their being stalked.

Thanks... I couldn't remember whether deb turrets were lvl3... It would ease RP if either someone dropped these or they were made available somewhere the Xenos could dock.

Agreed... but it is seen as the best way of giving the Xenos a ship they can actually feel in RP by flying. Its other uses are sort of incidental.

In fact that is a pitfall we probably need to avoid. The ship should not be as good as other civi ships that people can use or everyone will be flying these next time we look around.

Think outcast particle cannon with less range and less energy usage, at least it was the last time I looked about a year ago.

The xeno class 8 and 9 guns only difference to the outcast ones use to be range and energy usage, I stress the use to be though.

A sabre with 4 kraken 2s, a kraken turret and 2 nomads (no inferno) will be able to seriously dent a gunboat shield solo, a handful can taken down a dessie if they wanted to. Add infernoes and thats a battleship they can go after.

I'm not at home, so I haven't got the stats.. but having had a Xeno with Black Widows for a couple of months the important stat is energy usage.

The energy usage is very high... (marauder I think it may have changed over the last year) I believe it is higher than the outcast guns.. and that leads us into "which power plant"?

Certainly if it has a big power plant it is going to be way more powerful than if it has a small one.

I would absolutely love this ship to fire a mini... even if that was it for a while like Unselie is saying. It sort of matchs Xeno mentality. Also if you worked as a team you could probably bring anything down if you had sufficient numbers. (Which to me is as it should be)
