Discussing the IMG line - veefa - 01-07-2012
The new Gunboat is a fine ship to fly. She cuts through all NPC fighter as if they are not there. I do miss the sexy black'n'red colour livery but never mind. The shape is begining to grow on me and as has been said fits with the down and dirty mining look. The blurb says things about future updates, could we have an extra turret the powercore could take it and then some. Maybe a dedicated mining turret for those dull protection duties in the rocks.
Still a fine ship and a joy to fly thank you.

Fighters:
LF - should be more agile. Or smaller. Or both. It isn't really like a light fighter at the moment.
VHF - I would prefer a lighter more eagle-like VHF. I think it's a bit too slow as well...
Bomber - Just awesome. Nothing to complain about here.
Transport - Too small, looks like a goose. It's very small cargo-size makes it useless, even if you intend using it as an RP ship you will feel the cargo-hold being a big downside.
Miner - Well, seeing that the Hegemon's cargo hold was reduced to 1.2k as well, it is an alternative to it. But I would still say just getting an Arrastra and someone to mine for is a much better option. The small cargo-hold'd miner-transports must really be a joke, because it is ridiculous. Also the ship looks horrible.
Gunboat - Seems alright, a little step up from the Hydra. 6 turrets, same arcs as the Hydra, which aren't the best for a turretsteerer. A bit smaller as far as I can tell...bit more armor...A mediocre gunboat. Looks alright as well.
Battlecruiser - The turret arcs still aren't very good, they are still very limited. Cruiser turrets barely cover the rear of the ship making it very vulnerable on that side to bombers. All turrets seem to be "facing forward"... Still very slow, but I guess that's how BCs should handle. It looks alright though. I like it.
What does the IMG need?
We need a battletransport. I'd say 10 turrets with good arcs, 150k Armor, 4.3k Cargohold, thruster, no CM, no CD...I thought we'd get one for 4.86, looks like I was wrong. I hope a future update will give us one though.

sorry, I am using Android phone.
And lets not turn this into flood.
I am just trying to make an alternatives for those two currently, and as it is said in topic - want to know different opinions and thoughts about another from IMG line.
EDIT: I doubt anyone from dev team will be too glad to include any of new ships or replace current...but who knows.
And if they will let to - I want to know how people see those ships.
If you want BMM miners - ask Jinx, he already made some, if I am not wrong

Swallow, I like to add that the design of the images you have are too similar to Gallia freighters. Change the Cockpit/Bridge to a better design, location, or unique concept that might serve the ship better than being in the front, like the Liberty Train Transport, which the bridge it to the back. Trust me that similar looking ships to another faction should not be made unless otherwise stated as "Copied" or "Stolen from".

Actually it really looks like Gallic cockpit, will take to mind what you said.:)
