QCRF Responses thread. - Unseelie - 04-06-2008 ZOI Maps of extreme brilliance. QV...enough to enforce periodical glances at the status posts? QCRF Responses thread. - bluntpencil2001 - 04-06-2008 ' Wrote:I am not a big fan of the Bertonian Navy "pirating" traders that run between Kusari and Bertonia. I would suggest having 2 seperate groups but that has not worked before. I just don't like "official" government people pirating. Can it lead to some good RP? most defiantly, but...i don't know...maybe if I have something more constructive to post here I'll post again, for now, please note this and let me think. There is historical precedent for it. The British were known for it, in fact. QCRF Responses thread. - mjolnir - 04-06-2008 About operational areas... 1. Why is Edinburg a big gapping hole? 2. Including all the Independent worlds is a bit too much for me... even as far as Omega 47??? Rumors on RH bases in Stuttgart say " No RH lives should be lost defending that piece of space that RH can never get its hands on" When talking about Omega7. So I don't see why QCO should sacrifice men in those worlds while its fighting a war. 3. Operating into Kusari.... maybe you could restrict it only for Kyushu (and Hokkaido maybe) for regular forces? Trying to keep it a bit real? I know I can take my KNF and waltz right trough bretonia back and forward for a few hours during certain times.... but it's not really good RP. I only go to Edinburg and Leeds.. and only after killing at least 3 Destr. patrols in Dundee, so that it's feasible recon mission. And there actually are KNF patrols in Leeds... there are no bretonian patrols even in Tau 29. Bretonia is loosing the war now.. both in the story and in real KNF vs QCO battles (score is some 8vs2?). QCRF Responses thread. - Reverend Del - 04-06-2008 "Anything larger than a Challenger requires clearance from command, and will most likely require a suitable rank." Thta's very vague, very vague, indeed. You have limited it by saying earlier in the post that you cna only fly Bret ships, but the way that sounds at the moment is if I can provide a halfway decent RP, or if your corrupt enough to accept a bribe, I could waltz into the QCRF with a battleship... I do hope this isn't so. QCRF Responses thread. - bluntpencil2001 - 04-06-2008 ' Wrote:"Anything larger than a Challenger requires clearance from command, and will most likely require a suitable rank." I believe that that is vague, yes, and could do with further clearing up. I don't htink the policy itself is bad, it's just not too clear for those reading it. QCRF Responses thread. - Othman - 04-06-2008 Agreed with Del and Mjolnir here. Clarifying these points would be good. I don't see a problem with the nomad and coded guns' usage as Templar ain't one of the best VHFs, despite being better than the Titan, and Bretonia is in need of additional power. QCRF Responses thread. - Unseelie - 04-06-2008 As for the expansive Zois....the faction's action is based around raiding the enemies of Bretonia, sending out a few Templars or a challenger to give instead of get. Real raids haven't been done for a while, so it may be a holdover from a long time ago, but without the standing orders to scan people and enforce the laws, there's very little to do if one restricts the Zoi to Bretonia and its borders...Also, actually getting past Kyushu is nearly impossible unless you run from every other engagement. A typical raid consists of fighting off a chimera wing in leeds, a pair of dessie patrols and a bs patrol in 31, 3 or four dessie patrols in 29, 2 dessie patrols and one or 2 bs patrols in kyushu, and 2 or 3 bs in every other system...so it isn't at all easy to get past kyushu, and I don't want to limit the sort of raid that does. If they get to NT, they wont be bombarding a planet, they'll be rescuing someone, or fubaring civilian economies. The point is, of course, to make the enemy not want to fight. Caps: must be at least a lieutenant, and the entire faction will only have 2 Dunkirks, 4 dessies, and 9 gb, at its most full; thats a Dunkirk and 2 dessies and 4 Gunboats for each the QCO and the QCR, and a gunboat for the QCP. QCRF Responses thread. - bluntpencil2001 - 04-06-2008 Just a suggestion... You might want to make the larger ships (Gunboat+) shared accounts. This will mean you'll need even less of them, and more people will get a chance to use them in spite of the limits enforced. QCRF Responses thread. - Equinox - 04-06-2008 All seems pretty tight to me, nice work. Although you ZoI seems quite large .. QCRF Responses thread. - Unseelie - 04-06-2008 I know. If there's any sticking point on the QCRF, its that ist got a pirate ZOI, and not a military ZOI. I would argue that its nessisary, and not often do our vessels reach its edges. |
