Hola, se?ors. My name is Anibal Santini, and I am interested in joining the 101st. I have long dreamed of serving Malta, and ever since I was able to acquire the money for a ship, I have been training for my dream of joining you. My parents, Angelo and Maria Santini, were but humble farmhands, and all that I have I have gained by hard work and dedication to my goals. I worked aboard a cardamine smuggling vessel for many years in order to acquire the money necessary to purchase myself a Sabre, and have been working as an independent pirate and raider ever since, honing my skills against the House dogs. I worked on many dangerous runs as both a cargo handler and a gunner, and have an extensive knowledge of the routes to and from Outcast space.

1) Why the 101st?
Well, I've been looking into the Outcasts lately, even starting up an independent Outcast lately, and the invitation sparked my interest. The Outcasts seem interesting, in several ways more so than the Corsairs. They seem to have lots of depth.
2) What are two things you enjoy in real-life besides playing Freelancer?
Reading and kendo.
3) What would the last sentence of your autobiography be?
Um... that's a difficult one. It would probably be something along the lines of, "Then, as I sat there, I decided that I would write an autobiography."
4) If you could be a fictional character (from a film, book, comic, etc...), who would it be, and why?
Hmm... another difficult one. Most fictional characters have to face quite difficult situations (as otherwise they would not be interesting). Probably Daniel Jackson, from Stargate SG1, as he is very intelligent and has a strong sense of morality. And, of course, he gets to explore the galaxy, seeing things that no one on Earth has seen before. ;)

Greetings Commander Bonello, My name is Alvaro Ramirez, and i am interested in enlisting for recruitment into the 101st Outcast Guard. I had previously applied for recruitment into the 202nd Outcast Guard, but i deemed myself unworthy as i had neither the expertise or the devotion to be a valuable member to thier unit, but due to communication errors, i could not inform them of my decision.
Soon after, i decided to try my luck as a mercenary for the liberty rogues so i could better my skills as a pilot. I flew with them for many a mission, improving my expertise as i went untill i decided there was no more i could learn from them, so i decided to return to my native Malta and ask my brother Mayte "Slazher" Ramirez, to teach me how to better myself as a pilot. When i reached Malta, i found out that my brother had been deployed to Omicron Eta to fight the dreaded Corsair aces, i set a course for Eta, and soon after arriving in the system, i heard news of my brother, Unfortunatly it was bad news.
It seemed that my brother had been doing his routine patrols when news of a Corsair attack came, he quickly joined his patrol up with a solitary Reaper of Sirius and entered the fray. Flying a Falcata he was not suited for the battle, but he was a very skilled pilot, and soon, there was only 10 Corsairs left from 30 that had entered the system, but his patrol had suffered major casultys aswell, there was only him and the Reaper left alive. Soon the Corsairs were in full retreat back through the minefield, with my brother and the Reaper in tow, when the reaper caught a stray missile and had to go back for repairs.
My brother pursued the Corsairs through the minefield, killing a further three when he stumbled into some Corsair rienforcements who were fighting a fierce battle against a badly damaged Outcast patrol. After burning through the remaining Corsairs, soon a terrible sight loomed over them, it was a Corsair Dreadnought. My brother, selflessly charged the Dreadnought so the patrol could escape through the minefield, even though he was by far no match for it. this is the last report i have heard of him.
Knowing that the Corsairs had done this fills me with hate even now, so i decided to go to one of my brothers old friends Harrison "Tranjurious" Raynor, and ask him to train me. He has taught me much about hacking and flying, but my heart yearns for revenge, now that my skill as a pilot has matured, and my devotion has increased, i once more seek to join the Outcast Guard and quench my thirst for Corsair blood.

I have always liked the Outcasts as a faction, and i applied to join the 202nd, but i ended up turning the character that was going to attempt to be recruited into an indie Outcast, but now that i have another indie Outcast, i was wondering what to do with the old one, then i stumbled upon this.

AFL and reading.

Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt from the Gaunt's Ghosts series, theirs something about a commander who earns his respect from fighting in the frontlines with his men that i like, not to mention his extensive use of camophlauge and concealment to sneak up on the enemy.

Hello,
My name is Alex Vega I have been living on Malta for only a short time, 5 to be exact and I’m just turning 223. You see I wasn’t born on this planet I now call home. I was born on the Hacker base Mactan. While my Father being an Outcast; a native of Malta, my mother was a Lane Hacker.
I was raised on Mactan for my first 18 years by only my mother, I knew of my origin, I knew he was Outcast, but beyond that I knew nothing, not even his name. Mother never really spoke of him. The little I heard about him and how he and my mother met was from my uncle, and it still wasn’t much. He was escorting a transport. What was in Transport and its destination still remains a mystery to me. Once entering the Leeds system the convoy was ambushed by an squadron of Mercenaries, and the transport stolen. I know not much of the battle that took place, but what I do know is that 3 Outcasts survived and one was my father. They were picked up by my uncle’s gunship 2 days later. They spent 3 days on Mactan before returning home. And within those 3 days I was conceived.
Even though she was my mother, she never treated me as her son, I assumed it was through the bitterns and contempt she had for my father. I also got the same alienation from the rest of the base. They still spoke to me…when I spoke first, they were always polite to my face. But I could always feel their eyes on me, and feel the tension they got whenever I came around. I never understood it, I didn’t care to.
When I was 9 I met a girl by the name of Alice, she was being bullied by some older boys, I stepped I to her defense, and by defense I meant I took the beating instead of her. She had an empty void like I did and was alienated as I was. For her mother were spy for Agera and was found out and executed just 6 months earlier. So we found filling for that ship in eachother. And for the next 11 years we never left eachother side, we both learned the ways of the Hackers and their unique talents. Right after 1 turned 18 Her father died from a hull breach in his ship…what happened is obvious and needs no more explanation. And my mother has long sense disowned me. We knew we didn’t belong where we were, nor were we wanted there. So we decided to leave, but we had nowhere. That’s when it struck me…My Father. I got into the records but I was still a bit inexperienced with hacking, so I ended up destroying a lot of data on accident. But I managed to get a Name. My Father’s name was Hector Vega…..
The next day we stole a dagger and set course for Malta. It took us 2 weeks to get there. Where to our surprise upon entering the system was hole heartily welcomed my many Outcast pilots who kindly escorted us to our hopeful new home. Once landed we bunked in a hotel for a few days so Alice could rest. I however went straight for the closest computer I could find and hacked into the Public Records database. I found my Father, He was living on a Cardamine plantation. Four days have passed and I finaly worked up the nerve to seek out my father.
We arrived at the plantation in the middle of the afternoon, We landed about 50 meters for a small house. Upon exiting the dagger we were greeted by a man that seemed to be my age, he was however in is late 30s. After a lengthy talk, it was reviled he was my brother his name was Diego. But with that good news came some bad, our father was was dying, he was 133 and his body was finaly giving up. Diego took me to his room, where my father layed. He was awake when I entered, a word didn’t even need to be uttered, he knew who I was, he knew I was his son, for 5 days I didn’t leave that room, I wanted to know everything of him, and he of me. He passed at the end of the week and even though we only knew eachother for a matter of days the loss felt like that of a lifetime. Years went bye, I took up my fathers name, erasing my past of Mactan, Alice and I married, were expecting a son soon. We haven’t been here long, but this is our home.
Now I come before you, The reason I am here is because, Malta and her people have given so much to me and my growing family. You accepted us with open arms even though me being only half Maltese and my wife being a Hacker. I want to give back to her, I am willing got give my life to protect this land, our people, our home.

The message title says it all, pilot. Get yourself up to Malta's spaceport, they'll have a Sabre there decked out in the colors for you. Head to Ibiza for jumphole coordinates, then flag the station Bastia once you're through for final vectors; they'll take you to the Dreadnought Captana, which will give you an escort up to Corsica. Be advised, the black hole radiation in the system has become increasingly intense of late, make sure not to get close to the event horizon. Bonello out.

Good evening, sirs! My compatriots based in this glorious warzone have long told me I should apply for a more suitable position, and I finally got around to it. Well, actually, I was too busy murdering Corsairs to have the time, but since my ship was damaged and I have to wait for repairs, I might as well. Here goes!
I was born on Malta like any other Outcast, and from my early years exemplified the patriotism and honor that makes us better than the Corsair dogs. My friends and family urged me to join the Maltese Navy, and I vividly remember my first combat. It was almost a work of art, and from that day my love for our people and the Orange Dream has grown ever stronger with every Corsair that falls before me.
"El Cinquedea" is a nickname I've had from childhood, and although I initially resented it, I've come to like it. I might not be the largest of men (the initial reason for the name) but I am more than capable of worming my way around an opponent's defenses and applying lethal force when I find a crack. I can hold my own against any lumbering brick the Corsairs throw at me, too. Their armor is nothing to our skill.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'll be fleshing the RP out a lot more as I play the character. I'm going to try something new, seeing how I play the guy and then personify him off that, as opposed to the other way around.

A small bio, not much as my life was boring up until now. But let me start from the beginning
I was born on the Planet Malta as a fourth son in a family of small time smugglers. My father had a old transport and we all, all four of us helped him fly that thing. He always treated us like his crew not like his sons, so i'm used to taking orders. I being the youngest and least experienced got the lowest pay. It was a tough dangerous life, but i was not complaining. Money was good, cardamine was being distributed, and i saw a good part of the Sirius.
Until one day we got ambushed by corsair scum. The ship could not stand against corsair fighters and soon the shields failed. We thought we were done, that it was the end. But, from what it looked like nowhere, few Outcast fighters appeared. Corsairs had more fighters, but that didn't save them. The fight was i was speechless. That was the most beautiful sight i have ever seen. The skill of the, what i later found out, pilots from the 101st was amazing. Soon the corsairs retreated with their tails between their legs, and we were saved. Ignorant fools, they wanted to stop the flow of cardamine, but it will newer be stopped!
That day changed my life, ill tell you that. I no longer saw myself as a small time cardamine smuggler. My new dream was to join the 101st, to fly with those pilots and to help them defend Malta. I know my skill is nowhere near to those pilots, but i will learn. I hope you find me worthy...

I must say that the invitation got me interested so i did some reading on the 101st and liked what i read.
And i don't have an outcast character so this is a great way to try some Outcast RP.
