and not in: ...\Freelancer\EXE ?
If you did it right, PM me in skype for the right freelancer.ini file since yours is simply the wrong one.

I did this and now my game doesn't recognise my video card anymore,
It says I may have to reinstall the game,
tough luck , I borrowed out the CD-ROM and it got lost.

update: after tweaking some stuff i really dont understand , combined with rebooting a couple of times,
and shouting and slamming my keyboard , it works again.

Those who have freelancer.ini that does not include hostname = gun.fllistserver.com, use Windows search for Freelancer.ini - search for the discovery ones since what I get in PMs in the ones you find in the \Freelancer\EXE directory. - The vanila ones.
You can also search for "Discovery" since again, all I've got in PMs is the vanila freelancer.ini and not the 4.86 generated one.

I've done this.
I'm still getting the same problem of jumpy 1 second jumps of lagg. Worst of times I stand on on frame for about 20 seconds. Is getting annoying happening most of the time.
Doesn't make any sense to me as my connections always been fine before update 5.

well tried the ; argument and the remove line. still got between 2% and 40% lag :|
even tried to shou and bash the keyboard.. no sucess...
