If that is what happened i would lol.
Never keep more then 1bil on a char. If ship, equipment, cash go to high the character gets corrupted, and your screwed. Even admins cannot fix it. It is a Freelancer Issue.

I am not sure but as far as I know /givecash command is "use it on your own risk" there was a problem few mounths...It seems it makes those bugs...from time to time..
