David, personally I like the idea very much....
This allows player to equip his ship according to RP of his character... Very good

Proposal:Put all future SNs in Guard systems so this weapons should be buyable when you have guard rep, or at least neutral guard rep..

This is a good idea, considering the potential for people using the incorrect Supernova. What about the Zoner one though? Perhaps full zoner rep...

Tic you must understand that I am trying to follow some RP vanilla line..
If I would like to make good Supernovas for every faction, I could do that
but RP value would be gone..

Bounty Hunter Guild is known for making guns that sacrifice energy efficiency
for the sake of range and damage.. All I can do is up the damage a bit.. Otherwise
it would lose all of it's BHG-ness..

Yep that should be enough I think... Full Zoner rep is harder to get than some guard reps

Im sorry Clayph, but these stats suck. First, 0.19 fire rate, wont work, since on BHG bomber it takes 16-20 seconds for 34k power to recharge, so there is no use of it.

Also, range has no meaning, it would be good even at 1500m, since you anyway have to be within that range to hit something, because capships can just strafe too fast.

But i agree with 295m/s

This is what i would like

Hull Damage - 145 000
Shield Damage - 72 500
Range - 1700m
Projectile Speed - 295m/s
Refire Rate - 0.15
Energy Usage - 35 000

tic,your idea is the same as rheinland, but your BH version need 4000 energy less.

and one qestion,when are all mortars for faction,can you restricts mercenaries and freelancer to buy only civilan/zoners? thats why i say that kusari needs more energy.

In my opinion, the factionised mortars could be sold to approved freelancers/mercenaries, if their area of action and affiliation suits (and the Roleplay...).

So the KNF for example, give one of their cannons away to a trusted KNF-Affiliated mercenary who acts in Kusari and the Taus against the BAF.

These are great ideas. I support that, at least it will be more in RP for bombers than everyone using premiere Order technology.

Well you seem to not understand that refire has absolutely no meaning in Supernovas, it all depends on how much energy it drains, so how fast will it be able to fire again.

You can all put refire to 100, it will still be able to fire maybe very 15 seconds or more.

So all that needs to be changed is damage, power drain, range and speed.

But, BHG guns also have boosted speed, so if you want it to be like that put it this way:

Hull Damage - 130 000
Shield Damage - 65 000
Range - 2200m
Projectile Speed - 350m/s
Refire Rate - 0.15
Energy Usage - 38 000

Increased projectile speed is probably out of the question. Plus, your suggested version would be way too overpowered for use...

People complain about supernovas in combat enough, making one as easy to hit with as a mini razor... Bad idea.

I agree that the more diversity of all kind stuff we got the more enjoyable the server is. It's pretty nice proposal Clayph. I just wonder if there is someone who would take it upon to create/develop those guns.

That isn't best idea and Robert already explained why. Keep all those guns in projectile speed 280m/s please.
